Challenge Cup
When are the semi-final fixtures going to be announced?
Assuming everyone is manifesting a Downs v Jets final?

Re: Challenge Cup
Maybe next year - Jets are frauds, really shows that the Saturday comp is a farmers league
Played a real club and got touched up. Would've been a cricket score if they had to play the mighty UUUUUUDowns. Don't want to hear anyone mention Jet's Pre-season shield win either, nothing more than a glorified friendly.
Grow some balls and come play a real man's comp Musti & co instead of stomping on blokes who can't string a pass together every Saturday.

"Jets are frauds"
So in the space of one game they've gone from being a team that will give Downs a proper game to a fraud team that plays in a weak division?
Who would have thought 10 men would have trouble chasing 11 around a huge pitch on a hot day.
Re: Challenge Cup
Yeah it has been quite a feat for the downs to make the final.
2 x div 3 teams in preliminary rounds
Bye in the quarter finals and a team that had 2 of their better players sent off the week before the semi finals
Certainly are world beaters down there at argana park

Re: Challenge Cup
can only play whats presented to you, maybe not world beaters but undefeated last 2-years in the league - some feat.
something like 9 games now without conceding as well.

Re: Challenge Cup
Yes mate that's how football works - opinions can change based on results. Jets finally play a semi-decent team and get mopped. At least we wont see another drubbing this weekend.dhoyle wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 12:10 pm"Jets vs Downs is going to be a spectacle"QuodUnusQuiPulsat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 8:49 amMaybe next year - Jets are frauds, really shows that the Saturday comp is a farmers league

They put themselves in the situation of being down to 10 men - no one else's fault!!
But I missed the part where it was only warm for Jets - you peanut!
UUUUUUUUUUUUDOWNS are the best club in the land!!!
Jets wont be dominating their midfield as they predicted hey!! They can dominate each other instead

Re: Challenge Cup
Downs are great team and great club, but they do get looked after by the league. They shouldn't of got a bye in the cup. There was a incident with a player that should of got a suspension, but just got swept under the carpet.

Re: Challenge Cup
There is a difference between a statement and a prediction you nonce.
PHE deserved it. We will be back in 2024.
