See this already shows your information is flawed. Of course Mutarelli, Baronio, Almiron, etc are better in their positions because they play the mediano position. Whereas Pesce is a left wingback/winger - Yes there is Zauri, however Pesce is 4-5 years younger. Yes Pesce did get done when they played Lazio, however it must be given that it was his first year. Also the second half of the year has impressed the Ascoli faithful. He's not yet ready to play first team for a bigger club, but calling him rubbish, is almost stupid, well then again you are a Lazio supporterLFTWNG11 wrote:ive seen him play once to be honest... and i didnt even notice him on the field. Was linked to Lazio a couple of days ago and most Laziale think it would be stupid to buy tht kind of midfielder when Mutarelli and Baronio are better, espeically considering hes no that good. Maybe good for Ascoli but Lazio require more talent than what this kid has.... in saying that, if we do purchase him and he proves me wrong I'll be happy. Honestly, I'd rather Almiron and Maresca over this kid.
true, i thought he was a central midfielder, when I watched he was playing out left but didnt look as though he played left back. who plays in that mediano position for Ascoli then? It was weird because Ascoli didn't really have a true out and out mediano, except for Fontana (constantly injured) and Di Biagio (who we put in defence). So Ascoli had Boudianski and Zanetti playing the central defensive midfield role, but they are more runners instead of distributers, or cover for the defence. So it was more like having just two plain central midfielders, which is not good for an italian team. However Zanetti was improving, and he's a good player going forward, same with Bouda, but in Serie A the central players need to have a off possesion game as well. They should be right for Serie B though.LFTWNG11 wrote:true, i thought he was a central midfielder, when I watched he was playing out left but didnt look as though he played left back. who plays in that mediano position for Ascoli then? PARKER POISED FOR HAMMERS SWITCH
West Ham appear to be on the verge of clinching the £7million signing of Newcastle and England midfielder Scott Parker after fighting off late interest from Tottenham.
West Ham chief executive Scott Duxbury was involved in late-night talks with Parker's representatives on Wednesday after Tottenham had declared their interest in the Newcastle captain.
And Parker is now set to meet with West Ham officials after the two clubs agreed a fee.
West Ham manager Alan Curbishley sees Parker as a potential captain and the ideal replacement for current skipper Nigel Reo-Coker, who has handed in a transfer request.
Parker, who is celebrating the birth of his third child this week, is keen on a return to London where his family is based and a move to Upton Park would see him link up again with Curbishley, his old boss at Charlton.
Parker made his England debut in 2003 while playing under Curbishley at Charlton before completing a £10million move to Chelsea in January 2004.
At the end of that season Parker was named the Professional Footballers Association's Young Player of the Year but first-team opportunities were limited at Stamford Bridge.
He moved to Newcastle in the summer of 2005 for £6.5million and was appointed captain at the start of last season.
Newcastle's new manager Sam Allardyce is reported to be eyeing out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton as a potential replacement for Parker.

AC Milan's Kaka "very happy" Real Madrid plan new bid
AC Milan ace Kaka admits he is "flattered" that Real Madrid are planning to make a bid for him.
In London for Brazil's friendly against England, Kaka said: "Clearly, it makes me very happy that Madrid is bidding for me. It gives me great joy that a team like Real Madrid is interested in me, and it is something that was already coming from last year.
"But I continue having a very clear idea, I am a champion of the Champions League with Milan and I am very comfortable in that city. My family and I. For that reason and for any movement to take place, it will be necessary for Real Madrid to reach an agreement with Milan."
Real insiders know that Kaka's comments are clear encouragement to make an offer to Milan this summer - if a fee can be agreed, the Brazilian will happily move to Madrid.

AC Milan's Kaka "Dissapointed" with Real Madrid's conduct:
AC Milan ace Kaka has proclaimed that he is "dissapointed" that Real Madrid are using the media in order to sway him.
In London for Brazil's friendly against England, Kaka said: "I know that Real Madrid is interested in signing me, but I am happy here, my wife and I are planning to have a son and we want to stay in Milan."
"But I continue having a very clear idea, I am a champion of the Champions League with Milan and I believe that the team has an atmosphere that no other club can recreate. For that reason and for any movement to take place, it will be necessary for Real Madrid to be more proffessional in the future in their conduct with these matters. I am happy if Milan is happy."
Real insiders know that Kaka's comments are clear encouragement to FUCKOFF. If a fee can be agreed, the Brazilian will still tell Madrid "You just dont get it... do you."

Lazio coach Rossi: We must be intelligent in market
Lazio coach Delio Rossi has pleaded for patience from fans ahead of the summer market.
"No stars will arrive," said Rossi, "but also no players from Serie C.
"We must be intelligent. I don't want to promise anything, but we will improve the squad.
"We're proud to finish in third-place and with a Champions League campaign ahead I am confident we will improve further."

ntil he joined Milan and now lost his weight and he is fighting fit and scores everyweek thanks to a now fitter Ronaldo .

Fark Lazio are in for young gun Daniele Cacia of Piacenza. If you remember he was on my list of future guns to Serie A http://www.footballnews.com.au/forum/vi ... hp?t=12010
I've got a lot of time for this kid, he won't start if he goes to Lazio, however if Lazio get these kids that their going after, they could be possibly be chasing for the scudetto in 2010.

All this talk about Madrid was true- in the Los Galactigos days...
But now's a different story...
We've got Cannavaro who is consistenly winning awards, Beckham - who's form is outstanding, Sergio Ramos - who is considered one of the best in Spain, Ruud van Nistelrooy who - in his first year at the club is going to win the top scorer of La Liga and probably the Golden Boot, the new recruits Higuain and Gago have started in most games this season and scored, no need to comment our our skipper (one of the greatest in the club's history)
Out of form you say? Who's currently leading La Liga (simply on the head-to-head record this season) - win 2 more games and we're champions.
This has been Madrid's greatest away season of all time, winning 12 games away and only losing 1 or 2 in the early season.
Yes it used to be fat camp - there's no denying it! it's the reason that we haven't won a major trophy in 4 years.. But in the 06/07 league Real Madrid's been the team to beat, and next season won't be any different.
As for Kaka, i think he will stay at Milan.. The only reason we would need to sign someone is for A: Roberto Carlos' Left Back position and B: Beckham's right wing position... and maybe even another forward to work with Ruud.

The deal had been mooted this morning, but there seems to be more than just fancy to it, and it is looking increasingly like Inter Milan will win the race for Christian Chivu.
In exchange Roma will net Walter Samuel again), David Pizarro (remaining half of his registration) and 4.5 million euros.
The deal rates Chivu at around 23 million euros, and is expected to be confirmed soon, sources in Italy insist.
Roma have been reluctant to let the Romanian go, as his defensive partnership with Mexes has really blossomed.
However, the possibility of securing Pizarro, and landing an accomplished defender in Walter Samuel as a replacement, along with close to 5 million euros, looks like a lure too strong to resist.
The thinking in the Roma camp seems to be that they might have had to work hard to keep him at Roma amid interest from a number of clubs, and that this represents the best they can possibly hope to land for their prized asset.
Chivu will supposedly sign a five year deal with Inter, worth 4 million euros a season.
It will also be a return to Roma for Walter Samuel, who left for Real Madrid a few years ago, before returning to Italy with Inter.

Spanish daily Marca have linked Juventus striker David Trezeguet with a move to Valencia.
The striker has recently been linked with Lyon over a swap deal, and though Juventus want to hold on to him, it is believed that they will accept a good offer.
The links with Valencia have surfaced after Daniel Fonseca, former player and a great friend of Trezeguet, was spotted in Valencia.
The Uruguayan is currently a licensed agent, and also a very good friend of Valencia sporting director Amedeo Carboni, who seems to be have won the internal battle against Quique Flores.
Fonseca is not Trezeguet's agent, as the player is represented by his father, but is reported by Marca to be smoothing the way for a possible move for the French international.

Heard from a mate of mine in England (avid Liverpool supporter) that Rafa will quit by the end of this month if the owners have not bought any of his top targets
Rafa's outburst along with clubs inflating their prices (knowing Pool have the cash) has caused the American owners to not want to outlay the cash they promised when taking over the club.... Rafa WILL not stick around if he does not have the support of the owners just like when he left Valencia...
More tight ass owners Liverpool, if they arent going to support the manager and invest to help the club win trophies then why buy the club in the first place! Oh thats right TV revenue... my prediction of Liverpool finishing outside the top 4 seesm justified at the moment.

wouldnt suprise me if he did.
Liverpool are a huge club and need to be winning silverwear.
I can understand Rafa's fury at the inflation of prices of players and the how the new owners are being tightasses..
end of the day though if liverpool dont get a good forward, Simao and a defender
could be bye bye rafa

hahaha, i would pay a club to take Tare away. But farken hell, every player i bag is out there to simply fark me up. I've constantly bagged the sh1t of Tare, yet against Ascoli 05/06 he scores a backflip bicycle kick. Look at Sosa now - i claimed he was the worst player in history - now hitting the back of the net (although he's still shit IMO). Farken Bastards.LFTWNG11 wrote:Parma eyeing Lazio striker Inzaghi
