Re: Ashes 2023
How is it possibly a dead rubber?
I watched the cricket over a game that means nothing to me.

Wow, did the Poms throw that innings away.
Aussie bowling, shocking once again in the morning and just after lunch.
Brook looks like a very good batter, will be a valuable asset for teh Poms in the future.

With Woakes dismissing Warner it means that Broad can no longer match Glenn McGraths 19 dismissals of Michael Atherton in this series....

That's more disappointing than only drawing the series.

Khawaja and Laubasagne may not be australian but they've picked up the whingeing well.
Having a cry because someone called them boring.
Khawaja causing trouble AGAIN.

Benjamin Andrew Stokes OBE (born 4 June 1991) is an English international cricketer who is the captain of the England Test team[2] and plays for the England Twenty20 International (T20I) team.[3] In domestic cricket, he represents Durham and has played in multiple Twenty20 leagues around the world.
Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, Stokes moved to England as a child.[4]
England is one of those cricketing nations that has always benefitted by the representation of players born in other countries. Out of a total of 736 players who represented the nation thus far, 107 players were born outside of England. Till date, 17 players each from South Africa and India played cricket for England while 14 players from Wales represented the country. Furthermore, there are 10 Australian players who plied their trade for the English team.
South Africans’ represented increased significantly since the debut of Andrew Strauss in 2003. After him, ten other players from the Rainbow Nation were on to play for England. The scenario for the World Cup 2019 is pretty similar. Nearly 33 per cent of the players in this 15-man squad were not born in England. There are representations from players born in different nations and most of them form the backbone of this side.

For a team that trots out the “spirit of the game” line they are the biggest cheats out there.
How many times do their bowlers compete an over and then go off for some mystery injury only to return later looking fine. The umpires need to wake up to their BS and clamp down hard on it

You do realise that that is completely within the laws?
You do realise that australia have been doing the same since the days of Lily and Thompson?
You do realise that you're now making my point that aussies are hypocritical whingers?

Also noted yesterday, Anderson wanting ball changed as it wasn't swinging (enough). I won't call it a whinge by him, but it sure comes close.

Having an aussie parent automatically makes you australian. Being born in australia doesn't automatically make you australian.
Cooper wrong AGAIN.

Re: Ashes 2023
Drawn series and it will now be at least 26 years since Australia win a series in England..
What an ending for Broad. A 6 off his last ball as a batsmen and a wicket with his last ball as a bowler.
Is that the last we see of Jimmy?
Is that the last we see of Warner?
Is that the last we see of Smith?

Re: Ashes 2023
You would expect the home team to win a series.
Australia has won more Ashes Tests than England, winning 140 of the 340 matches, compared to England's 108 victories. Australia also holds the edge in Ashes series won, having won on 34 occasions compared to England's 32.
