It's great for SA, great for footy and great for all the local businesses bringing in big money.Just Dave now wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 1:32 pm far out can the local media stop just for one second without mentioning gather round ? making me sick already , yeah its good for adelaide and all that but seriously

Re: AFL 2023
Other states whingeing they aren't considered (yet). It was ok when Perth & Brisbane got the AFL Grand Final when Victoria was in lockdown.
Perth - too far for most, Brisbane has the Rugby version and Sydney has enough going on and isn't really a footy city.
Adelaide ticks most, if not all the boxes.
Reckon they should consider Glenelg Oval next time (upgrade lights etc) - tram goes there, could block off Jetty Street, and add to carnival atmosphere.

Re: AFL 2023
Truth be told when the Croydon game finished, I went inside clubrooms, watched the game thinking that the third quarter was the last quarter as I wasn't paying much attention. Started to celebrate until after some TV ads I thought, what, no after game celebrations, interviews, awards etc? Then I saw "3 QTR time" score and thought, here we go again - probably blow it like last year and low and behold.........Get In The Car wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 3:03 pmYou were probably happy as Larry at three quarter time.

Re: AFL 2023
Watched the Port and Crows games on the weekend.
The Port game had some of the worst umpiring against Port i have ever seen (and i hate port) but they deserved the win.
So so unfortunate that the Crows lost, they had it, if only they could kick straight, they would have won by 30 plus.

Umpiring was pretty good for most of the game except for the goal square high tackle that wasnt paid to Collingwood.C U Next Saturday wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 10:27 ambut they didnt kick straight and lost , what if Collingwood didnt have a 5 day break , what if Adelaide didnt get the rub of the green from the umps?Cooper wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 10:00 am Watched the Port and Crows games on the weekend.

You’re kidding, Poppy! This site, Football news.com.au is for the real football, you know the INTERNATIONAL World game. Cooper (and you) are just mugs sucked into the wall-to-wall AFL TV & publicity machine. Just f***r*k the f***r*k off!Popeye Magoo wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 1:33 pmSensible would be my guess.Con M wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 1:11 pmWTF?
