zones

Post by theone »

So why and who made the decision to allow U13 & U14 state/dev squad members play in this years zone competition. Surely they have already been spotted and the door should be open to other kids playing that either did not make it, trial or have blossomed in the past few months.

Most Zones might as well not trial and pick the state players and trial for other positions only. And how does Port Adelaide end up in Metro North !! and some teams in the north dont have teams in some age groups Eg playford don't have 13's so there will be a shortfall in numbers.

Some teams have 5 or 6 reps in thier teams and with only 5 to be selected will be a real dilema for zone coaches. :?:

Can't see the merits in this one

Then you probably payed him or you deserve to be in there but the majority of the players either know the coach or pay their way in. its simple as that.

Sounds like you have a news worthy report, how about you give it to the media for a sum?

What's that? They wont listen to you because you were'nt good enough to make the team

State U14 Dev will be away at the National Youth Championships when the zones are on.

State U13 Dev have something planned as well.

Dont think that east won every age group last year.

Usually turns out to be a fair spread across the regions although country have the hardest task trying to get a side to gel from across the state

u/13 comp very even, state 13s spoke of going to gold coast cup in october , but don't think will happen as going to sydney in july. good to see E&D boys getting a chance.most zones got one strong, 1-2 average and 1-2 c team leagues.fair spread of state players in each zone.

NORTH ZONE U13

Salisbury and Playford City are not represented in this age group.

This is not to say that some players maybe playing up a age group.

does anyone know why the zone championships ends at like under 14's now?? This annoyed me last year as it was the first year it happened. I've been out to the championships twice before and it is a really enjoyable time. Both times I went, the comp went up to U/17's!dissapointing it doesnt anymore but oh well...
