Just because someone supports inter & thinks maldini was a great defender doesnt make that person italian, yes there are other greats such as Benckenbauer & carlos Alberto that arnt italian, but many great defenders were. i hate when people assume your italian just coz u go for an italian club.

i never assumed you were italian i dont assume because when you assume you make an ass out of u and me the reason i said it is because look at all the ppl you listed they are all italian. And in my opinion Benckenbauer was better he was the greatest defender to ever live do any of you agree

Thank you one and only. I wasn't trying to start an argument, was merely saying that there are great defenders outside of Italy and Hierro is definately one of them, what he did for Madrid will be remember forever, much in the way Maldini is for Milan. Hierro was also the lynchpin of the Spanish defence for years.
