oh well.....4 years on and youre still happy with honourable losses built on guts, grit and physicality.....
i know we arent good enough but accepting the status quo isnt good enough......
credit to Arnie for getting the max out of the team by drilling a low defensive block and playing on the counter attack....
Playing the violin well requires 20 hours a week of practice. When you perfect it, you can attract 20,000 people to your concert
Playing the drums well requires 5 hours a week of practice. When you perfect it, you can attract 5000 people to your concert.
Playing the violin poorly, will get you maybe 100 people to your concert. 99 will walk out when the hear how bad it really is.
Australia has 8 hours a week to practice a musical instrument. It has chosen to play the violin for the last ten years.
It pretends it could play the violin well if it just keeps spending 8 hours a week practising.
Many people encourage this insanity.
But I don’t understand…… if you include JPL, State development & the independents there are about 50 football academies in Adelaide. Merseyside is about the same size as Adelaide but only has a handful of academies. Why isn’t Adelaide better than Merseyside ? It just doesn’t make sense, why are we only playing the bongos
academy is just a word which sounds like some kind of intense institution of excellence but in reality it isn't in most cases
check and see what these 'academies' are actually doing
likely its often just one guy with accreditation getting kids to run around cones for a ridiculous amount of money per hour for 1 hour per week... then the kid goes home and plays FIFA on his playstation

I enjoyed watching the Socceroos this Cup campaign. Nice to see a pragmatic approach getting us a nice run.

Nurse! Can we get some help here
Yep. Quick quick Nurse, bring sedatives for c** n*t features Vanilla Arena! “It” is salivating and hyperventilating over it’s satisfaction that Straya lost in the Round-of-Sixteen. The C **r*nt!

lol the Aussies Bradburied their way into the last 16
worst team I've ever seen in that stage of the tournament, but there's something to be said for getting results with minimal footballing ability. Kudos to the management for getting them that far with a low block. It was very Australian.
B**llshit, c**aarnt features zzzzz. Go away and gloat away at the result you salivated over. C** arnt!

this is quite a good analogy
add to that the would be musicians are coming from the demographic that have no natural musical talent
in Sokkah terms, we're excluding the working class from elite levels while the soccer mums accountant's skinny legged kids are the ones filling up the 'academies'
If England can't win it, I'd be happy to see Brazil take it out for Pele. Joga bonito indeed.

My old man told us the ‘74 world cup was cancelled
And the nation that caused that, had a pretty good run coming third
Grrrrr, that bloody Tomaszewski

Who is the commentator that sounds like Jason Statham in this game?
Were you watching on SBS? Commentator was Martin Tyler. He sounds nothing like Jason Statham though, so can't have been him.
Maybe someone different did the Japan game, I haven't watched that one yet.
lol yeah I know what Tyler sounds like
Croatia Japan- he’s a good commentator, has a feel for the game
Was it Andy Townsend? Not sure he sounds like Jason Statham though.

Don’t know. He may not sound like statham to you as you would be more attuned to the subtlety of English accents, but when I hear him I think of Jason Statham.

Townsend was born in Maidstone but raised in Bexley.
And he calls everyone 'Turkish'

Brazil with Neymar are a freaky team to watch, without him not so,still if Croatia plays like it did against Japan ,i am afraid a Korea like spanking is around the corner.

Imagine being a Korean fan and seeing those Brazilians dancing as a team after every goal.
Must be demoralising.
I thought it was the Village People.

Just watched the Brazil game. There’s a fair bit of arrogance there. Could work against them going forward.
Who have they got next? I pity whoever is playing them
