Juventus lost, but they can still find solace that Diletta Leotta can report it.
Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
Karim Benzema should be tested for illicit drugs after his performance in London.

And then there were 4.
Spain v england of sorts.
In fact, Liverpool getting Villareal probably the better of the options but won't be taken lightly.

Chance for redemption.
Lets hope City can bottle the EPL as they did this morning as well.

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
one can only hope but not making the CL final will hurt so dont be surprised if they fluff the league as well
Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
So now it looks like Halland is in for city next season, how will De Bruyne feel about this?I know he is a mid-fielder,but head honcho status is lost.

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
I see the CL will be expanded to 36 teams , with the first phase games to 8 compared the current 6. Yet more games added to a an already crowded calendar .

It is possible the 5th placed side in EPL could compete in the CL , what the ?

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
I think the League title has gone for them as I can't see Man. City failing at home against Villa, though Gerrard will try his hardest to make it tough for them.
As I see it the Champions League final is a 50/50 game and could go to the wire. Never write off Liverpool even with a few injuries as they have a quality squad.
I think your other claim is insulting regarding the two cups 'he didn't want'. Any professional team with 100% ambition go out to win every game in every competition. Since you are an Arsenal fan this is perhaps the reason you do not understand this concept.

Not really got anything against you lot, especially when Tierney is in the side.N5 1BH wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 10:09 amThat last remark was very insultingthebeautifulgame wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 10:29 am I think the League title has gone for them as I can't see Man. Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
Liverpool 0-1 Real Madrid
The Benzema goal should have stood imo. Fabinho hit the ball to Benzema while defending.
Also is that Robertson playing Benzema onside. I don't understand that rule..
Courtois had a blinder.

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
So Real does it again,The goalkeeper was a beast all night.French police & grounds staff really taking the piss out of Liverpool's supporters, imagine being at a gate 2 hours before kick off & not getting in on time.
Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
Now i just read that 19000 tickets were released to both finalist clubs, only to have 3 times as many Liverpool fans show up at the gates some with no tickets, some with counterfeit ones. Benzema was in front of second to last defender van dijk,it was just a matter of interpretation as to who passed him the ball.So reds player played it then it bounced of real player who was in offside position, but reds player didn't have intent to play, but block valverde, then he slid in but couldn't control where the ball went when it ended up for benzema. So basically if a player is in front of second to last defender the last pass of valverde is looked at,& reds touch is annuled. If Valverde didn't play the ball, the goal would have stood.

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
Fair to say the 'Double' achieved by Madrid this year far outweighs the one achieved by Liverpool.

TAA should be a winger not a Full back, he gets caught out defending time & time again

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
TBF, Liverpool have the best two wingbacks in the EPL in Robertson and Trent, but perhaps Klopp wanting them to play high in a 442 catches them out occasionally. Purely my opinion, but wingbacks work better in a 352 or a 343 formation where you have three genuine centre backs, however it would be hard to be too critical given what they've achieved this season.haywood djablowme wrote: ↑Sun May 29, 2022 8:02 pm TAA should be a winger not a Full back, he gets caught out defending time & time again

Re: UEFA Champions League 21/22
no doubt the current team is a good team.....however, it might be remembered as the team that couldnt get the job done both at home and abroad (over the long run)
I dont need to have attended to know that the FA Cup sits 4th in terms of importance (except for teams with no realistic chance of winning the premiership and/or European glory)

There's no doubt that the money men would agree with you, I don't think the players or true fans would.
