Should probably get your facts right. He is not the B's coach. The way your supporters harrassed him for calling a throw-in when they thought it was in (from 10 yards back from the line) was disgraceful. I am sure that none of your unofficial linesmen ever make mistakes or even, god forbid, be a little biased.

Downs V PHE

Post by eric the great »

Downs 1-1 PHE
(Hughes) (Dunt)

Was a very physical game today, some good hard challenges and good sportsmanship shown by both teams. PHE had both Saggs boys, Ratley and Reek missing from there starting lineup but the ressies who stepped up did well. PHE had an early chance to score in the first 30 seconds but missed the chance. Downs had a few more chances than East in the first half but it remained 0-0 at HT. Downs scored very early in the second half with the ball falling to Hughes who made PHE pay for not clearing the ball. About 10 mins later PHE converted a free kick with Dunt scoring a well taken header in the top corner. All in all was a good game to watch. Look forward to the return fixture up at East.

Reserve game was a cracker Knights played with 10 men for 35 minutes and came close but eventually (last 20 seconds Vista got up)

First Team - Vista honestly didn't have a shot on target and personally I thought 3-4 reserve players should have walked into their first team some strange selections

that's the million dollar question mate, what works one week doesn't work the next.alot of new players have entered this season, and i guess that takes time, alot of young lads playing in the amateurs for the first time.

its frustrating mate given that there's so much talent there.

munno para B's 6-3 over seaford, good win by the lads after some hard work early on. and thanks for doing us a favour paynem, we're up to third now!

the reserves was a great game mate agreed, if your player hadn't of got sent off 3-3 would of been a fair result, mind you our honest linesman did the sport proud i thought, and a cracking penalty save from our keeper(four penalties 4 saved).

Yes your linesman was great referee didn't spot it over the line and linesman flagged like crazy - the send off made life very hard against a good side, felt sorry for our keeper but even though we lost enjoyed the game

Another tough team and another vista a's loss. I totally agree with you bulldog about the youth and new players that still simply havnt adjusted to amateur football. I played in the c's win where andy h was outstanding and the best player on the park (except for me!!!). The referee was an absolute joke but it didnt matter in the end as the pontians boys spent more time yelling at eachother than trying to pass the little white round thing to a player in the same coloured shirt (you generally have to do this to win a game). A special mention to the prat playing on their left wing who cut sick every time he didnt get the ball, chopped down our keeper and gave me a descent elbow for no apparent reason. A good win for the reserves with an "under fire" goalkeeper saving yet another penalty. He may have let in three but the last few games i have seen him play he has been excellent. To the lads in the a's get your heads up, bounce back next week, there are plenty of points still up for grabs..... pride, honour, respect.

Vista Vs Knights - 0-3 to the knights, deserved the win, strong in the air, played the long crosses to players that were always awaiting, their lads played well. Dubious penalty however i thought the ref for the game was fantastic, kept control. 2nd goal, sweeper f*cuked and he knows that, finished off well by the f*ck wit who obviously has never known of the word "sportsmanship". That was the only downer from the game, that c*ckhead istead of giving the ball back, which 21 players on the field agreed should have happened, decided to take it himself and try and score.......f*cking tosser!!!!!!Knights full credit, played the better football, fantastic surface in which Vista unfortunately decided to try and keep the ball in the air........back to the drawing board for us boys

A's Pontian Eagles 2 v Plympton Bulldogs 1
B's Pontian Eagles 5 v Plympton Bulldogs 0

A much improved effort by the first team today for the Bulldogs, we were competitive against the Eagles and their keeper made a great reflex save late into the game to deny us of our first point. Hopefully we can improve again next week as we gain a few players back and our first win is just around the corner.

A's

Fulham 1 - Lion 1

Fulham 1 up at half time and looked in control.

Lion came out 2nd half and had a good 15 - 20 minute spell and held more possession but no clear cut chance.

Fulham then had 1 cleared off the line and last 5 minutes a clearance from a corner hit a lion player in the back and went in.

B's

Fulham 1 - Lion 1.

Heard PHW drew with FLorina 2-2.

Gardens beat Inter 2-1.
