NO 'Away' Kits for Homeless in Premier League
Away kits at home on Boxing Day for homeless charity: Premier League blocks idea
By Simon StoneBBC Sport Last updated on 10 November 20211
Tottenham face Crystal Palace in a London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Boxing Day
The Premier League has blocked its clubs wearing their away kits at home on Boxing Day to raise awareness around homelessness.
Homeless charity Shelter hoped to get the support of clubs for the #NoHomeKit initiative on 26 December.
However, while the clubs were supportive of the idea, the Premier League says it would break its rules around kits.
The rules demand home teams wear home kits as their first priority.
The Football League says it will accept clubs wearing away kits on the same day if they make a formal request.
So far, Cardiff and Portsmouth have had their requests approved, whilst another 15 EFL clubs are committed to supporting the campaign.
The Premier League has noted clubs are allowed to change their sponsor for one game per season and replace it with a charitable message.
"The Premier League receives a large number of requests from charities every season, however we aren't able to support all centrally," the organisation said.
"Clubs are entitled to support charitable causes, and we encourage clubs to do so, provided it is in compliance with Premier League rules."
Shelter feels the sight of clubs and fans wearing a different kit at a home game would be a powerful message to help raise awareness of homelessness.
The organisation estimates 180,000 households have lost their homes during the coronavirus pandemic. It has given advice to 22,644 households through its dedicated helpline team during 2020 and 2021.
BBC Sport understands a number of clubs are now considering their own initiative to promote #NoHomeKit.
The Premier League bosses would rather assist Billionaire Murderers with breaking its rules than the Homeless. OM

Millwall changed its shirt and sponsor a few years back for their remembrance day game for a charity that helps injured soldiers with their rehabilitation.
I bought one of the shirts.

The Football League have stated they will approve the Away shirts as long as the Clubs make a request to do so - but the PL is refusing to budge.
Murdering Saudi Billionaires come before England's Homeless in the PL.
Time for the PL players to stand up and be counted.

There a "pay gap" between the CEO of my company and me. That's life and supply and demand.

Then I don't understand the point you are making.
The only pay gap is down to basic economics.

Re: NO 'Away' Kits for Homeless in Premier League
One quarter share of a pie.
My missus makes a rhubarb crumble for me to share with FootballNews. I cut it into 4 quarters, take 1/4 slice out and give it to FootballNews. I keep the ¾ share for myself thereby you lot don’t have nearly enough to go round and I have more than I could ever possibly eat. Your obvious discontent unsettles me so I move to a separate table with all of mine and, with an inflating self-esteem watch as you miserable wankers fight over allocation of your share. Pathetic rabble.
Alternatively
Take the ¼ slice for myself and give the ¾ share to FootballNews. I still have more than enough for myself but now you lot have enough to share around. Everyone retains their self respect and perspective so everyone can still sit at the same table together and enjoy the pie

Or you complain about the 1/4 share so next time you get nothing.
