Km's travelled between countries.....c'mon surely you can see that....
nothing wrong with the host country being stationed in a particular city for as long as possible but when other countries are criss-crossing the continent, of course it becomes a disadvantage.
eg: Belgium a pre tournament favourite travelled approx 5700 MILES in the group stage alone (to Russia twice). then travelled to Spain for the Round of 16 and to Germany for the quarters
2 of Englands knock-out opponents (Denmark and Czech) were amongst the most travelled.
Im not suggesting that England werent worthy of their final appearance but the above highlights the additional 'leg up' the the fixtures and locations afforded them.
I guess australia, USA, Brazil, Russia... can never have a world cup then as the countries are too big.
the point of the observation wasnt more about the total km's travelled but the disparity even by countries during the group stages.
are you that sensitive to the idea that England had everything going for it and still couldn't take advantage?

I just don't believe we had any advantage other than every host country has had before.
In fact we had it harder as not every game was at home.

Reports in UK press ,that Southgate will be knighted for his achievements as England Manager at Euro 2020.
It's the modern way, everybody wins a prize.
In Henry VIII's era he'd have lost his head.

Can't seem to find any results for Grease.....
Oh hell, I forgot to respond to this during the Euro Tournament.
Now Toomer, there was no need to troll about Greece. You know they didn’t qualify this time around.
But you do know that “little” Greece has won the Euro Championship in a once-in-a-lifetime achievement and you recently know there is another country that has never won it.
ps, can I recommend you have a glance at the trailer of the film called “King Otto”? It’s about one of the biggest shocks in football history when Otto Rehhagel guided Greece to victory.

C'mon Hawksey...dont scrape the gutter and defend this buffoon...given how nice Ive been to Engerlish people in this thread..
I am not defending anyone. I just don't think that greasy carp is necessarily about Turks.
We don't need you to be nice about us, your country wouldn't even be half as good as it is without us.
