When clowns run the game and the clubs...
.. you get what you deserve.
Clowns who don't understand the game run the FFA.
And clowns who run junior setups at club level having their own agenda, recipe for a shite soccer nation.

Yes, clubs should use other people's/club's agendas.........Tissues wrote:.. you get what you deserve.

But not before vandalising the running of the place and ruining a few careers.

One thing surprised me in Thursday's sports news and that is that Stajic has joined a panel to try and improve the Women's game and Benita the Man Hater is President of the group.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall at their first meeting.

The FFA's head of national performance Luke Casserly has become the latest casualty of the continuing shake-up within the corridors of power at the game's governing body.

Another one bites the dust
With CEO David Gallop to depart in December and head of women’s football Emma Highwood also out the door, it’s understood Casserly has accepted a redundancy deal after almost six years in the post.
The former Socceroo turned executive was in charge of spearheading all 10 of Australia’s national teams, and personally head-hunted Dutchman Bert van Marwijk to lead Australia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup following Ange Postecoglou’s resignation.
But his position came under scrutiny after the messy handling of Matildas coach Alen Stajcic’s controversial dismissal and the changing dynamic at the FFA after they lost their autonomy over the A-League.
It’s understood the terms of his departure were agreed on Monday.
The ongoing downsizing within the organisation is another factor in his exit with executive budgets in the cost-cutting firing line.
With 70 staff under his wing, Casserly, 45, has been at the apex of the pyramid, shaping the future direction and funding of the cash strapped national teams programs and seeking to ensure Australia were world leaders in sports science.
He was also in charge of logistics, and modernising Australia’s use of software of video analysis.
Casserly, who has eight Socceroos caps and played in the NSL for Marconi and Northern Spirit, spent much of his tenure traversing the globe, a source of some eyebrow-raising from certain members of the FFA board.
Casserly did not reply to messages from The World Game seeking comment.

Re: When clowns run the game and the clubs...
It’s been a significant day for Australian football with the announcement of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that closes the pay gap between the Caltex Socceroos and Westfield Matildas.
The landmark deal – struck between Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) - reflects football’s determination to address issues of gender equity in all facets of the game.
And the new agreement certainly generated plenty of positive reaction among Australian football fans.
I believe this will be great for the game as long as long doesn't impact the youth development in Australia. It will certainly attract more women to the game and maybe stop the drain of players to the AFL. I believe Fox will love this at the next negotiations.
