In 1966 the North Korean national football team participated in the Football World Cup. In a stunning upset its victory over the Italian team propelled them into the quarterfinal: it was the first time an Asian squad had advanced so far in a World Cup. But rumours soon surfaced suggesting that the team had been imprisoned after their return to North Korea. So what did happen to the members of this history making team, from one of the least understood countries in the world?
