Female Referees
U13s and U14s game at Adelaide City had a female referee in charge. Overall, a good job by the referee.
It is ggod to see female referees being involved in junior games as there is always a shortage of referees.

I know a young lady who has been working thru the ranks of reffereeing and I must say she has the qualities to go a long way if she is given the chance. With the extreme shortage of referees at Federation level I think there is every reason to support the female refs and give them a chance to progress through the ranks to boost the numbers.
female refs are better, they tend to abide by the rules more and stand their ground that's why they do a better job than the males why tend to let alot of things go cos they know they don't have to try hard to go somewhere.. whereas the women actually have to prove their worth.. that's why they are better dahH!

Last weekend at a E&D game I saw a mum doing the line. First time ive seen that.
She did a great job.
She has obviously done the course and it also created a lot of discussion amongst all the mums and dads and other spectators....(mostly dads who usually do the line making sure all the mums noticed)
I think we will see alot more female lines persons and refs in the future.

We just held a course at our club and one of my U/15's mum and dad both did the course and they were the only two to pass, the sad thing is most of the others were players "who think they know everything"
As life gets more complicated for families we need to openly encourage girls and ladies to be involved in officiating , it makes sense.
