More than just last night's performance. he is a key player for club and country.ozzie owl wrote:Awesome goal by Rashford and was the best attacking player for England and on last nights performance Henderson should start ahead of Dier for the opening WC game.Bomber wrote:So a bit of a struggle, much like the club side that plays there.ozzie owl wrote:England v Costa Rica at Elland Road Thursday evening is the third time England have played there.

You are reading too much into a game. It was against minnows in a friendly.ozzie owl wrote:Danny Rose looked a lot more affective than Ashkey Young at LWBNice One Cyril wrote:N5 1BH wrote:Yet another goal by supersub Welbeck. Question does Rashford start over Sterling whose scoring record for England is pretty ordinary?
Common sense, players should mostly be picked on form and Sterling's form is dead ordinary for England.ozzie owl wrote:Mail online football reporting two changes for Panama game.

Loftus-Cheek for injured Ali.
Rashford to replace Sterling.
If the mail says it, it’s as likely as me and NOC saying it. They had Dier ahead of Henderson BTW. Embarrassment of a publicationozzie owl wrote:Mail online football reporting two changes for Panama game.

Considering England has trouble forming competitive sides nowadays, is it time to create the United Kingdom side. At least Gareth Bale might play in a WC tournament.Nice One Cyril wrote:Common sense, players should mostly be picked on form and Sterling's form is dead ordinary for England.ozzie owl wrote:Mail online football reporting two changes for Panama game.

he reckons if we had less foreigners in the premier league we would have won by more.God is an Englishman wrote:I wonder how OO will slate this performance?
Easy I think- they only 'drew' 1-1 in the second half. What went wrong?God is an Englishman wrote:I wonder how OO will slate this performance?
Watched the Panama game in a rammo pub in Watford, singing, dancing and beer flying (still not sure what the attraction is in throwing expensive beer around), fucking brilliant stuff, took me back a few decades!thebeautifulgame wrote:Easy I think- they only 'drew' 1-1 in the second half. Seriously I'm a little jealous of them speaking as a Scot. They seem to have a freshness about them and an abundance of young talent. Southgate has them hungry and disciplined, I think their biggest hurdle could be dealing with the media expectations as the bandwagon will be in full flight following this result. England will be severely tested by teams that are more skilful, resilient and organised. Perhaps not the glory this WC but they should be knocking at the door come the next one or two.
Couldn't 'Hazard' a guess what the Belgium result will be but if both play strong sides it should be an absolute belter. Pity it is an early morning kick-off and many of us will feel robbed.
Others throwing beer and you being a snob are chucking Shiraz - well played!Nice One Cyril wrote:Watched the Panama game in a rammo pub in Watford, singing, dancing and beer flying (still not sure what the attraction is in throwing expensive beer around), bottle of shiraz brilliant stuff, took me back a few decades!thebeautifulgame wrote:Easy I think- they only 'drew' 1-1 in the second half. how did Poland get on?Bomber wrote:Easy people - it was Panama FFS.
Good training run and edge will be off the Belgium game as little to gain, so first proper test will be in the knockout stages.
At least they have done what they had to do so far, and am sure it will do beer sales no harm in their local pubs.
