I feel another 2-1 loss coming up but hope I'm wrong of course. France will then knock off Peru meaning last game will be a dead rubber which we will likely reshuffle the team and maybe snatch a point or 3 v Peru.
He’s gotta play Arzani & Leckie wide and go without a central striker.
Our two wide men will stop the Danish full-backs from overlapping. The Danish centre-backs will be too cumbersome to push up into midfield where OZ will outnumber them.
Eriksen has to be battered with fouls rotated on him so nobody gets two yellows. The super-fast left winger Pione Sisto will similarly have to be bruised and ushered inside by Risdon.
If Australia is chasing the game and have to go long with crosses then Cahill & Juric can be thrown on.

two wide men and no central striker will fail IMO.

Or
Playing a 5m pass to a teammate every time and going nowhere for majority of the game.
I know what id choose.
I think that that was the worst game technically in the tournament. Both sides struggled to keep the ball, gave it away without pressure several times.

But Arzani & Leckie did well on the flanks, New Name Needed. It was in the centre that unfortunately Nabbout, then the ponderous Juric failed.
Arzani & Leckie are mobile enough to become central striker as the ball whizzes in from their respective wings. Similarly if the mobile Irvine had bolstered the Mooy/Jedinak/Rogic midfield he could have arrived late in the penalty area to become central striker as the ball was cut back from the flanks.
In the end, if anything, when he did chase the win and throw on Juric for the incoming crosses, it should have been Cahill with his leaping and heading power.

Impressed with the team and the way they played. Only things - Kruse must stay on the bench, and give Cahill a run last 10-15. Leckie, Mooy and Sainsbury had good games and impressed with Arzani.
Also impressed with coach, to get this relatively weak team to play at a competent level with decent tempo and confidence. Pity he wont stay on after the cup.
Can beat Peru, just a matter of if the French and Denmark are "happy" to play out a tame draw - then we're stuffed.

That's what pressure applied by the opposition can do.

They were probably still gobsmacked at the VAR decision.

Well that's very unprofessional of them then. Silly thing is there was a bigger claim for a penalty not considered later on, but no-one seems to give a rats about shirt pulling any more which is madness in itself.

I want to know what successive coaches see in Kruse , he was poor again last night. Arani has to start for the Peru game.

Australia will go far in this tournament - providing they continue to be awarded soft penalties

Handball's "soft".
Last night was debatable, whether it was a penalty to the letter of the law, but so was the French one against. Swings and roundabouts my friend, and anyone who thinks Denmark was unlucky last night either is so biased against Australia or just doesn't know much about football.

Then I guess I'm one or the other then.
Handball wasn't a penalty, he was even trying to get his hand out the way from a bloke 2 yards away from him - NOT DELIBERATE. The France one, clearly was.
Therefore, with it being a draw and the penalty not being given - Denmark were unlucky.
You do realise that if the penalty wasn't given, in the chaos of all possibilities, Australia could have actually won the game as the rest of the match would have changed. Based on the 90 mins, Oz were unlucky not to win. And your (GIAE) opinion doesn't hold much weight as Australia could win 8-0 and you'd find something "lucky" about it.

How many saves did Schmeichel have to make?
I'd say australia were lucky to come away with a point, they only earnt it through a dodgy penalty.
