FIFA considered it for the 2018 WC but are sticking to the traditional AB format. FIFA stats show that with AB system team going first wins 60% of the time and with ABBA it is about 50%.

ABBA has a very small amount of data compared to AB - so don't think think there is enough evidence yet.

And if it is 50% and they are happy with the data - surely that's worth using, no advantage?
