Re: Liverpool
Mane's transformation to petulant knob is almost complete since his move from Saints while scousers enable it by making excuses for him. Pattern repeating, weak player management. Take the first step man up and admit he attempted to cheat and con the referee and was rightly carded.

I am not sure I ever said he shouldn't have been booked, except that if the penalty was given, would he have been booked for stupidity?

Re: Liverpool
Throwing coke cans at a bomb proof bus?? The sad thing for me was that 95% of those present were just filming it on their phones, not acting or reacting in any way. I can remember when a public disturbance was contagious, how are you supposed to get a decent demo or counter demo going when most won't participate. We have degenerated into a society of voyeurs.

Re: Liverpool
Phew, that was a great game of football, especially for neutrals. Roma must be really pissed that they sold Salah!
Roma hit the bar early when controlling the game, Salah scores with a brilliant strike, although I thought there was a foul in the build up, third goal was offside and I thought the penalty for Roma was tough on Milner. Had a bit of everything and that's what makes it such a great game, no need for VAR.
You can't fail to be impressed with Salah, a wonderful football brain with great foot skills. I wonder how long before PSG, Real or Barca come calling and if he'll stay.

Glad I got up for this game. Had a bit of everything. Unusual to see a side's crowd celebrating a 5-2 loss, but I guess away goals have been kind to Roma this campaign. :wink:Nice One Cyril wrote:Phew, that was a great game of football, especially for neutrals. Salah is now up there with Messi, Ronaldo etc, no doubt.
Just need level heads going to Rome.

Another 5 goals, shame we don’t have Phil though, could have done with him v Stoke on Saturday. With injuries to Can, Lallana and the Ox we need squad players to step up to help with the quest for a good finish.

Re: Liverpool
Sad to here that a Liverpool supporter is fighting for his life following an incident near the ground. Two Roma supporters have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

What do you expect from them?
No doubt they'll try and blame it on the English somehow.

Whilst Ronaldo has done well playing in the EPL, has Messi? You claim EPL to be the hardest league in the world right? Salah is tearing up EPL and UCL.God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:

You're kidding right?
Salah has had an amazing season. Definately deserves all the plaudits he's getting.
Great player.
But Messi and Ronaldo have been having these kind of season's year in, year out for 10+ years.
If he can score 40+ for the next 5 years, then possibly he can be considered.
Will be looking forward to seeing how Salah performs at the WC. Hopefully he can take this great form with him to Russia.

Currently Salah is possibly/probably the best player in the world. Doesn't make him automatically the world's best.maxin in the shade wrote:Bomber wrote:Nice One Cyril wrote:

Re: Liverpool
Klopp should stick to football instead of commenting on British politics. Planes back to Germany every day from John Lennon if you don't like it.

I agree. Not the planes part, as he hasn't said he hates it , just doesn't agree.God is an Englishman wrote:Klopp should stick to football instead of commenting on British politics. Planes back to Germany every day from John Lennon if you don't like it.
Football mangers shouldn't talk about politics although the vast majority in Liverpool voted stay, his view should stay private IMO.
