Disgraceful spurs fans following the example of the scousers in the suarez era with turning a blind eye to blatant cheating when they see some grimy profit to be had. You can’t buy class I suppose, it comes from within.

Nice try boys, just keep your eyes on that Premier League table
Gooners, you might need to scroll down a little.

It's the første time I've put on a football match on the tv in ages. Not that I saw much of it as I was doing other stuff. Since when have the half time pundits just stood there without a desk of a sofa to sit on? That was a tad weird.

Not only Mane but the keeper also
Agree he was lucky not to get the second yellow BUT it was originally a penalty, to Mane then he decided to jump/dive. The rules state the 'keeper doesn't go now - especially if not a 100% goal scoring chance.
We should have had a another penalty too when Virgil was pulled.
We weren't great admittedly, but beating Roy is always good!

Talked about that with my son this morning, we both agreed yellow was correct.
That settles it then

It was Crystal Palace and you only beat them courtesy of the referee.

You do realise when we played them last season and lost 2-1 at home, when we desperate for the points, he was present.
This season we have pley dthem twoce without hime, and own both games.
This season without him we average 2.28 points per game, with him 1.79
Goals per game with him 2.14 without 2.50
And the ref may have mistakenly kept Mane on the pitch (would he have been booked if the original penalty was correctly given?) But we should have had 2 pens, so we didn't win because of the referee at all.
We were lucky to win, I admit that. But it wasn't down to officiating.

I have to be honest and say I've only watched the highlights so far, but from what I saw they outplayed you and only the fact that Benteke is complete poo kept and the ref being a plank kept you in the game.

Genuinely didn't outplay us. Benteke should have scored but we had chances too. A draw would have been fair.

Benteke should have scored a few. 2 in 2 minutes.
If he had got the first, he wouldn't had the chance of the second. The play would have been different.
And was that chance after the Virgil penalty claim?

The Mane incident just shows how much modern footballers cheat IMO. The touch on him was hardly enough to put him off, because he carried on then suddenly remembered where he was. Football used to be a contact sport and contact (even in the box) doesn't always equal a foul.

You ask how old I am when i highlight your team’s almost identical performance, antics and result.
Spurs got two dodgy penaltues at Anfield for the same amount of contact. These days a foul is a penalty, even with minimal contact. Mane was in the wrong to overreact but he should have been given a penalty.

We weren't talking about Spurs and Alli's diving, we discussed that at the time, that's why. It's puerile to keep repeating it.

I think you'll find that a foul in the box has always been a penalty, but what we're asking is, is minimal contact a foul? I don't understand how refs can give penalties for the slightest brush, but allow defenders to virtually ride on forwards without censure.

You said it was only palace, I highlighted you did the same there, and added alli as MAne came into the discussion.

Reading the gibberish on this thread can only think either a certain poster was on drugs this weekend or his account was hacked by a 12 year old chinese kid. Or possibly both
