SAASL should mirror FFSA leagues and introduce a top 5 finals series at the end of home and away season

Why?
We already have a cup and a league - the set up is the same as every other footballing nation that don't seem to need such a spurious convoluted ending to a season and if it ain't broke then why try to fix it?

Why not?? Whats wrong with change and further excitment in the league?? The season is only 18 games + cup.. No better time to implement it with the potential affiliation with FFSA.

Ask the current coaches and crop of players their opinion and i think you would be surprised with their response

Fulham made the jump over and in 2 seasons are in State League 1 after being promoted today.

Next season we will be playing against the likes of Raiders, Blue Eagles, Cumberland and White City to name a few - who would have thought 2 years ago.

Juniors playing in JPL A divisions.

It is not all negative with FFSA.

By being affliated clubs WILL HAVE THE OPTION how far they want to progress.

If they are happy with what they have then nothing needs to change coming under the FFSA umbrella.

If they have bigger things in mind then they can build.

There's no hiding the fact that a lot of FFSA teams use their juniors as cash cows to fund the first team. So will the parents of amateur club juniors be asked to fork out $1,000 for each child to play?

None at all you troll. Have a look at a few financials from some of these FFSA clubs. When the line under expenses showing player expenses is higher than the line showing income - you can be sure - its a fact.

Could be an increase in number of games due to possible inclusion in the FFSA Cup competition and the bigger SAASL Clubs might even find their way into the FFA Cup..

Which would be a good thing. Would be good to see how some of the higher SAASL teams would fare against the NPL sides, bit like the old days.

I would imagine if SA were given more than one FFA Cup spot it would be made seperate from the Federation Cup. More competitions = more games.

No thanks. We left FFSA and came across to Vista, one of the reasons was Saturday's were no good due to Bob's work commitments.

With their C's ending with a 100% record, they surely must have some decent depth there.

I think its best for all concerned for them to scrap the amateur teams and follow Fulham's lead and put all their resources in SL 2 competition as it would provide a better outcome.

For nearly 10 years now we (both sides of the fence) have been pointing the finger at stubborn leaders (on both sides of the fence)...now as a deal has almost been brokered and requires approval of SAASL clubs and the FFSA there seems to be a negativity and some cold feet about such an affiliation.
A definition of madness is doing exactly the same thing, over and over again and expecting different results.
If you want to change some things in your life...you need to change some things in your life.

More money means clubs can't dual register which would mean a BIG shake up in all divisions.
Also means better insurance for players.

It won't stop dual registrations, it will just make it one step harder.

Better insurance is never as simple as that, there may be clauses or exceptions in one that isn't in the other. I would have to compare both policies to know if it truly is better.
