Their problem is that 90% of their supporters weren't born when they last won one.

Re: UCL Group Stage
Even given that the spuds will get thumped once again can anyone be bothered with this anymore. The comp is not what it was, it’s lost all meaning recently. Now it’s become just a game of ‘Football Manager’ for billionaires, chucking cash at anything that moves to outdo each other. Would rather watch a real comp with genuine old style clubs like Red Star & Cologne, bring back the magic.

Re: UCL Group Stage
Well done for the above post. All this trash about fair play and not exceeding budgets is a lot of tosh. We are part of the problem when many of us are willing our football clubs to spend vast fortunes of money on players with over-inflated prices and matching egos. The Group Stage draw is just a license for the bigger clubs to pull in vasts amount of revenue while fleecing the smaller clubs who stand little chance. All this nonsense about clubs from the same country not playing one another until the latter stages. Where does all this madness stop? Can't see it happening any time soon.N5 1BH wrote:Even given that the spuds will get thumped once again can anyone be bothered with this anymore. I was referring to the previous statement to mine - 'spurs 17' - assuming that meant trophies - and its a long time since they won one.
Happy now?

So, 90% of Spurs fans are under the age of 9. I didn't know that.
Re: UCL Group Stage
Spurs V Dortmund should be an interesting game - Spurs played really well against Everton away on the weekend.

Doesn't make Rodgers a bad manager and better teams than Celtic will be put to the sword by PSG.
Always some idiots associated with big clubs, it was one individual acting on his own and he will be dealt with accordingly. Confident he will receive a life- time ban.

I know it wont ever happen but would love UEFA some sort of home grownh quota rule, might just stop this "Football Manager " trend.thebeautifulgame wrote:Well done for the above post. Celtic have again been cited by UEFA. This is their 15th citing in 10 years. Imagine how many they would have racked up if they didn’t keep getting knocked out at the group stage.

After we've drunk the iodine deficient water, we piss it down the drain and it's piped back up at the Emirates :wink:N5 1BH wrote:To outsiders that is the impression you get. By the way, it was the noisiest I've heard it at the Emirates last night, but I reckon that was just the Germans.
EDIT: Sorry, wrong forum, this one's for Champions League participants

Yeah the krauts were up for it, caused no trouble good on them. Bit of a stuff up by Emirates though, most likely due to supposed Arsenal fans selling on their tickets.Nice One Cyril wrote:After we've drunk the iodine deficient water, we piss it down the drain and it's piped back up at the Emirates :wink:N5 1BH wrote:To outsiders that is the impression you get. Wonderful left, right, head, hatty for our boy Kane and a good result with Dortmund getting done.
City comfortable and Liverpool struggling defensively as usual.
