Re: Email from SAASRA
My comment is referring to teams that have multiple issues, chasing referees to their car and spitting on referees. This is a completely different level.

We know that Fizi was the Saturday club that assaulted the ref, who was the Sunday club?bloodypassit wrote:Soccer Clubs of SAASL
On the weekend two of our referees were assaulted, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
SAASRA will not appoint officials to any club, grade or division again who assaults officials.
The two clubs involved have been informed by our association that we have ban them.
SAASRA Committee have made a decision any person, player, official or spectator of your club assault an official, your whole club will be given an automatic ban.
Quite frankly our association have had enough, SAASRA have zero tolerance for any club in any division that assault an official.

Yes, now it is up to the club to satisfy the referee association that an appointed referee will be safe and not at risk at any of their games.God is an Englishman wrote:So a club has one person who misbehaves, they deal with it appropriately and you would punish a whole club?

Re: Email from SAASRA
Interesting that FIZI have lost by forfeit this week, SAASL taking action or was that due to SAASRA not providing a referee?
FSASA have also been given two forfeit losses for next two weeks (and a bye in last week), so are we looking at the second culprits?

Re: Email from SAASRA
Ah yes the infamous di canio incident..... tbf I think the ref took a dive
The ref association here would be banning many EPL teams as lots of players touch the ref these days.

Apparently the police were called to the Mount Compass V FSASA match this past Sunday. Not sure of the details but the incident was considered serious enough to warrant police involvement.

Lucky I guess.
Wind back 2 or 3 years and OTH got nothing for their antics. Stop playing the victim card.

Time for a merger and large scale clean up - .... FFSA have the balls to hit hard ... SAASL have the coin and club numbers to make a strong league association.

Surely a Merger is Right for a few Different things.
a) referees safety and the League not Punishing teams.
B) Junior Support and teams being able to be in JPL leagues not just JSL.
C) Lets get Elizabeth and District back in the Junior State Champs.

Re: Email from SAASRA
Well it looks like the League may have listened, 1 player suspended for 16 games and coach suspended as a player and a coach until 2019. Club also fined over $1100.
