surely worse than chasing referee and they will get kicked out like eleven did?pecker wrote:Grove beat FIZI 5-3 and FIZI players spat on ref after game, dirty barstards
Re: Catch up Games
You would expect some kind of punishment similar if it fits the same criteria.
But it might be one rule for one and one rule for another. After all there is a club been getting away with stuff all season in Div 3. it is alledged they threatened the ref last week that he had to be escorted to safety.
SAASL are weak and won't do anything?
Maybe they have to go see these teams play to see it with their own eyes instead of thinking other clubs are making it all up

Re: Catch up Games
considering you cleared 4 off the line and Knights hit the bar and post , I suppose you are right it could have been 11-1?
mmmmmmmmmmmmm,
you seem to have counted your missed chances but forgot about Knights missed chances .
Knights squad depleted , no excuses but fact , injuries and suspensions , a game we didn't need to play yesterday but in the spirit of the game , good to play the catch up games during the season ,
good luck with the rest of your season , a lot of good blokes at Ingle farm , all the best Jim

As Jim said a lot of quality people at Ingle Farm, thanks to Simmo and his wife for taking our kit washing etc and bringing it to the game. Glad most enjoyed our hospitality and we wish Ingle Farm well in Division 1 next year - we will hopefully regroup and by a better stronger club next yeargetyourheaddown wrote:haha - no excuses BUT, says it all about your characterjim.mcguinness wrote:considering you cleared 4 off the line and Knights hit the bar and post , I suppose you are right it could have been 11-1?

Farm deserved the win, but Knights could have been 4-2 up at half time had they taken their chances, but they didn't....
Not good to hear the shouts of 'take him out' from the Farm technical area when our main striker was on the ball.
Oh well, Knights will be back in Division 2 next season which will leave less northern sides complaining about travelling past Gepps Cross once a season

Re: Catch up Games
Knights hit the "woodwork" once in the first half and that was about it! If your main striker was any good he would of got on the scoresheet!! Or was it the cry from the technical area that put him off his game
Re: Catch up Games
Easy to be critical from behind the fence with a beer in hand...hit the woodwork once and had 4 off the line clearances according to my camera.getyourheaddown wrote:Knights hit the "woodwork" once in the first half and that was about it! Not the cry from the technical area, but maybe those on the park executing the tactic being asked for....from my count, according to referees awarded free kicks, he was fouled ~12 times...always difficult to get goals in a struggling side...but he has done alright this year.

Re: Catch up Games
Swansong, I only had coffee in hand (very nice too as was the burger) and if you have not worked it out that is what the defence is for, to stop the ball going over the goal line, sadly for the Knights their defence was not very good at that. Fouled twelve times I counted 6 and I would say that's about the norm in 90minutes for the designated target man, who is inevitably targeted by the opposition, part and parcel of the game, there was no malice intended and if your striker can not take the hard knocks then I suggest he go play netballswannsong wrote:Easy to be critical from behind the fence with a beer in hand...hit the woodwork once and had 4 off the line clearances according to my camera.getyourheaddown wrote:Knights hit the "woodwork" once in the first half and that was about it! Re: Catch up Games
Would you like to retract the one chance that Knights had or will we post the pictures of the 4 clearances ? ,and the off the post in the second half? Obviously these were all imagined and only your team had missed opportunities .
One eyed supporters , mmmmmmmmm
Now lets talk about character .mmmmmmmmm,
In a sentence where it is stated that the squad was depleted , not an excuse but a fact what brings character into question ?.

Re: Catch up Games
mrjimmcguinness not disputing the 4 clearances or the off the post in the "2nd half" (your only other attempt on goal in the 2nd apart from the goal), your observation that the Knights could of been 4-2 up at HT is a load of bollocks, point i will reiterate is that's what defenders are there to do - clear the ball out, in case you are not familiar with the job of defenders it's to defend what else do you want to blame apart from your depleted squad? The velocity of the wind was stronger in the 2nd half when it was to Ingle Farm's advantage or maybe the pitch, that's normally what those full of excuses try to blame at times, condition of the pitch is the same for both teams. Love to see your photo's by the way. May be best your team sticks to indoor netball, less body contact in that sport and do not have to worry about the wind velocity, the cold, the wet and poor pitch conditions.jim.mcguinness wrote:Would you like to retract the one chance that Knights had or will we post the pictures of the 4 clearances ? ,and the off the post in the second half? Ha, well played, I ignored the content of your original post, as it was the most obvious attempt at trolling since the snake fed Adam the apple. Agree Farm were better, first half was close, second half we gave up, did 5-1 flatter Farm? Not really, could it have been 10-1? Perhaps if you kicked off 30 minutes before us. In fairness it could have been 7-3 or 8-4 but it wasn't. As for the physical stuff, agree it's part of the game
We enjoyed hosting Farm and all Division 1 clubs this year - shame you didn't pop in after oh well

Nice attempt at process of elimination but once again you are wrong FYI, I did pop in after and as I quoted earlier enjoyed the coffee's and the burgerKnight15 wrote:getyourheaddown wrote:mrjimmcguinness not disputing the 4 clearances or the off the post in the "2nd half" (your only other attempt on goal in the 2nd apart from the goal), your observation that the Knights could of been 4-2 up at HT is a load of bollocks, point i will reiterate is that's what defenders are there to do - clear the ball out, in case you are not familiar with the job of defenders it's to defend what else do you want to blame apart from your depleted squad? In denying Knights 'could have been' 4-2 in front at half time you've just killed your own argument for a possible 11-1 Farm win.getyourheaddown wrote: your observation that the Knights could of been 4-2 up at HT is a load of bollocks, point i will reiterate is that's what defenders are there to do - clear the ball out, in case you are not familiar with the job of defenders it's to defend
Funnily enough that's what our goalkeeper and defenders are there to do as well, keep the ball out of the net (just didn't do as good a job as Farm's keeper and defenders).
Did you troll as much for Para Hills before you jumped on the Farm wagon.. ?
And you double as a statistician That was just the count of fouls from number 14 on him.getyourheaddown wrote:Fouled twelve times I counted 6

beating my chest you cut me up Swanny, merely posted the result with a bit of humour content because someone started a "catch up games" topic. Then these 3 pilchards aka swannsong, knight15 and jimmcguinness took the bait hook line and sinker
