Wenger will be staying onBomber wrote:Keep Wenger now?
I don't think there's any doubt about that
Good to get three wins inside a week but where were these sort of performances earlier in the season?
And for people to say "well now that the pressure is off they play well" is BS. If anything, the pressure was on even more cause they had to win every game to have any chance of possibly making top 4.
Still don't think it'll happen though, especially with LFC's result overnight

Hoping for an Arsenal draw and Liverpool to lose 1-0

Re: Arsenal 2014/2015
Apparently they've offered Sanchez about $0.5m per week!

you want world class players, you gotta pay world class moneyNice One Cyril wrote:Apparently they've offered Sanchez about $0.5m per week!
Arsenal have a wage structure in place, and this probably blows it out of the water but I don't care
He's our best player. Pay him what he wants. Buy him a house for his dogs is he wants it.
Just get him to re-sign!!

Arsenal won a trophy in our worst season for 20+ years, & Spurs won nothing in their best for decades

Helps when even the referees want Wenger to stay, but times they are a changin' :wink:maxin in the shade wrote:Arsenal won a trophy in our worst season for 20+ years, & Spurs won nothing in their best for decades

Let's see how you get on with the Europa League and Sunday games next year, for some reason, most teams find it's disproportionally distruptive.

WOOHOO!
Happy days are here again,
Wenger's at the Goons again,
Guiding them to fifth again,
Happy days are here again.

^^^^^
Was always on the cards. Official announcement tomorrow (no press conference).
Not quite sure how I feel about it to be honest. I'm a little 50/50 over the decision.
An FA Cup win would've been a great way to bow out, but everything Wenger has said in the press recently indicated he had no intention of stepping down or walking away.
Though it's been reported that the board signed off on the extension under certain conditions i.e. bringing in extra staff to support Wenger so he's no micromanaging every aspect of the club.
Either way, I'm just glad this whole ordeal is over with. The way its been handled and allowed to drag on all season has had a negative effect on the entire club.
Like him or not, we now know for sure what is happening. Lets just hope that in two years time there's a plan in place for once he does leave, cause surely this is the last contract he'll sign.
Most important thing now is to get the contract situations with a few players sorted out.

Re: Arsenal 2014/2015
There will always be an Arsenal
Can't believe the Arsenal board would let sanchez & ozil walk for free at the end of the season. A deal has been done somewhere somehow. For me sell them both right now and buy Ali & Kane

You can keep Ozil, but Sanchez might want to play at Wembley on a regular basis :wink:N5 1BH wrote:There will always be an Arsenal

The money you'd get for those two wouldn't buy one of Kane or Ali.

Quite funny seeing some arsenal fans getting excited over winning a pre season friendly.

It's like keeping the U/10's happy and not keeping score and so everyone gets a trophy. :wink:N5 1BH wrote:Wow that's tripping me out.
So they give trophies out for finishing mid table in the lower leagues. Sorry I wouldn't know.

I am not a betting man, but I bet you love the fact your main rival has won it more times than your team.

Didn't even know they'd won it. So, you'd lose that bet.
So all mouth and no bet?
