Under 17's Para Hills Vs Playford

Post by the juggler »

 The meeting of these two teams today was the second time they had met within the last 3 weeks with the final score in each game being the same...4-0 to Para Hills. Todays game was played in good spirits between traditional rivals at the Paddocks and both teams enjoyed a good playing surface and great conditions. Para Hills opened the scoring in the first half after they found themselves one on one with the keeper. The striker calmly tucked it away despite the best efforts of the Playford keeper and Para went in at half time 1-0 up. A forced substitution at half time changed the Para line up as Playford begun to press for an equaliser. The stand in Para keeper made a couple of great saves to keep Playford at bay as Para also began to lift the tempo. Soon after the break they went 2 up with a simple finish after some great build up play and shortly after it was 3-0 with Para totally dominating. However, they were soon down to 10 men after a clumsy challenge on the Playford keeper saw one player sent off. (The referee was heard after the game telling a fan that it was the card he could get out of his pocket the quickest...! I hope that wasn't the case!) Anyhow, despite this setback Para continued to dominate and soon notched the fourth goal to finally settle the match. Congratulations to both sets of players and coaches who played the game in good spirits and best of luck to them both for the remainder of the season. Talking about "spirits"...ref was seen drinking an alcoholic beverage after the game and just before the next match. One can only assume he was an obsever and not officiating!!

Wow,

i reckon the coaches need the beverage before and after the game

No wonder there is a shortage of referee's at the moment, training to be bar-flies

Need to be carefull on the cards thouh as you may need to brng players up/down to cover the gap.

How's the 'keeper doin' ?

i have watched this para hills team over the last 3 years as my nephew plays in this team and i have noticed stephen hopper (capt) is one of the better players and should be at least making an appearance for the 19's!!

Yes Hopper is a very gd player but there are many more players in that team that should be playin games for the 19s...It has been shown through the last few weeks as the team is starting to bond and show all the players tallent together.

Dont visualize beating the keeper, Visualize destroying the keeper.
