WSSC invites players, both internally and externally, in U11, U12 or U13 the opportunity to participate in a Elite Squad Development Program.

As a player in this squad the focus will be on the players learning and demonstrating the following: Player discipline; Player focus; Play making; Technical skills; Game strategy through ball-centered activities; Decision-making skills; and Physical preparation.

If you would like to join the elite squad please email Pat Crisci, Technical Director, technical.director@westernstrikers.com as soon as possible or attend training on Monday.

Training: Monday Nights 6pm - 7.30pm (through until the end of season)

Cost: $250 per player (Payment is due at commencement of training).

Other Information: An additional uniform is provided and there will be some games organised against other clubs/teams.

These squads are supposed to be a conduit for transition of promising Juniors the senior ranks. I would have thought a discount on fees is more appropriate rather than asking for additional funds.

Usually a club does an academy internally but looking at Strikers junior results they need to advertise
externally.

Probably find most kids and parents are already committed several night a week by now. I know between my 2 boys it's 4 nights training a week down the club for me already, only Thursday nights off. Then games Saturday and Sunday school/club. I like the fact WSSC are having a crack though, they have room to grow down there and some good new people around the place the last couple of years.
