Another cluster fuck with the League.
So it looks like we have another situation where a team was promoted but dont have a reserve side. Saturday Div 3 again. The stupidity is laughable.

Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
Does the Saturday leagues have a division just for one team clubs this year? It doesn't look like it.Baresi wrote:So it looks like we have another situation where a team was promoted but dont have a reserve side. Saturday Div 3 again. The stupidity is laughable.
If not, where should the league put them?
Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
They can join CSL or play on Sunday like the other one team clubs. May be a bit harsh but if the league dont provide a division then that should be there options.God is an Englishman wrote:Does the Saturday leagues have a division just for one team clubs this year? Can't division 7 accommodate single teams?God is an Englishman wrote:Does the Saturday leagues have a division just for one team clubs this year? I'm believe it has a number of single teams within the division at the moment.God is an Englishman wrote:Isn't div 7 a C team division?

We at Budapest asked to be relegated to Div 5 as were not going to be in a position to field a Reserves team .. instead we found ourselves promoted to Div 3 .. one of the main reasons the club no longer exists ..Baresi wrote:So it looks like we have another situation where a team was promoted but dont have a reserve side. I guess this is why the Fed bandwagon is gaining momentum.

There were just 12 games in the 4B's last year too. There's always something lately...redwin wrote:Sacred Noodle wrote:We at Budapest asked to be relegated to Div 5 as were not going to be in a position to field a Reserves team .. instead we found ourselves promoted to Div 3 .. one of the main reasons the club no longer exists ..Baresi wrote:So it looks like we have another situation where a team was promoted but dont have a reserve side. It's going to happen again in Div 4. One has already pulled out. It's becoming a joke

3 divisions of 12 is the answer.Redsgun wrote:It's going to happen again in Div 4. One has already pulled out. It's becoming a joke

Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
This is disgraceful. How hard would it have been to send Budapest to a one team division. Like i have mentioned before Div 7 already have single teams participating. How hard could it have been?Sacred Noodle wrote:We at Budapest asked to be relegated to Div 5 as were not going to be in a position to field a Reserves team .. instead we found ourselves promoted to Div 3 .. one of the main reasons the club no longer exists ..Baresi wrote:So it looks like we have another situation where a team was promoted but dont have a reserve side. Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
Para Hills West have pulled out of Saturday Div 4 it seems. M U Stars seem to be only fielding an A team in Saturday Div 3.

So thats TV and MU Stars only fielding 1 team? MU Stars are still listed in the fixture list of the website. are you sure?Sean's wrote:Para Hills West have pulled out of Saturday Div 4 it seems. M U Stars seem to be only fielding an A team in Saturday Div 3.

Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
PAC are looking to field a fourth side (preferably in Sunday leagues), but it seems might have to try and add them into the Saturday leagues at this rate.
Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
M U Stars pulling their B grade is a rumour I heard at the league meeting last week. I hope its not true but its what they did last year in Div 4. Think TV have lost a heap of players which is unfortunate and difficult for the league to deal with as they were in Div 2 last year and have been actively trying to find new players.

Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
This issue here is (unless I'm mistaken) that none of the divisions are officially 2 team divisions. You could go all the way to division 1 and only have 1 side. So that means that you should be promoting the best teams each time. That unfortunately means that in some years the divisions will be lop sided.
Re: Another cluster shiraz with the League.
This is an interesting point. I thought they were. TBH though i haven't seen any rules for participation. Does the league actually have and distribute those?God is an Englishman wrote:This issue here is (unless I'm mistaken) that none of the divisions are officially 2 team divisions. I've never seen those rules, just going on what someone told me a few years ago.Baresi wrote:This is an interesting point. I thought they were. TBH though i haven't seen any rules for participation. If that's not correct, then it would seem that the best team with 2 sides should be promoted but that just passes on the issue to the lower division. The next question would be - how late did TV announce they would only have 1 side?
