He shouldn't be with that performance, the playing group was poor but so were the match officials
Whilst I'd agree that the first goal was offside, it was well within the margin of error for a human linesman. The second was one of those odd ones which, unless it's against Arsenal, I think should be called offside. Even though he wasn't directly in line, Silva must be influencing Cech move slightly away from the near post.

Though the first Man City goal should have been given offside, and the second one was questionable, it still doesn’t excuse the level of performance from Arsenal.
Poor all over. Here was a chance for us to stand up and make a statement that we’re not the ‘same ol Arsenal’ that crumbles under pressure and under-performs when it matters. That we're able to bounce back after what was another bad game v Everton.
But no.
Ozil has been getting a lot of flak for this game. He’s been good this season (excellent at times), but these are the type of matches you expect him to grab by the scruff of the neck and perform. Instead he was nowhere. Not that his teammates were much better. Just really disappointing from a fans point of view.
I know its one game out of what has been a mostly good season so far, but when the game mattered, we just couldn't compete.
We were top of the league last Saturday, now we're 9 points behind.
Good to get back to winning ways, far better performance thàn the last two and clean sheet is always confidence building. I know Giroud gets alot of stick but I prefer when he plays. We play a more possession based game than the sit back, let teams come at us counter attacking style when Alexis is up top
Chelski just dont look like slipping up thou

Lucky you weren't 4-0 down, rubbish handball decision robbed Bournemouth of a goal.
TBF, I thought Bellerin was fouled for the third.

absolutely woeful performance - at least for the first 70 minutes
we were terrible. didn't even look like we would score and no shots on goal for the first half told the story
glad we came away with a point, cause that's the most we deserved
Perez's goal was the highlight for me. Excellent finish. He's one who should be given more chances cause he's shown something in every game he's played in

Spot on NOC, clear foul for their third, especially in comparison to the Xhaka penalty decision

Also, has Ramsey gotten worse over time?
Agree with Perez, has looked very good during the minimal game time he has been given.. Wenger whinges about only 48hrs between games so why not utalise this so called 'squad' we have and give the likes of Perez, Ox more game time!
Rambo was poor in first half, looks unfit! Coq injury came at the right time to slot him back in the deeper role allowing him to get on the ball and making runs from deep.. Euros showed what he is capable of, Wenger needs to play himin his right position not just a gap fill
Wenger should be recalling Jack from his loan spell

I actually did think it was a penalty, albeit very soft. As a defender, once you're behind the player, you essentially have to leave him alone. He was going nowhere on the corner of the box, just shepherd him with no physical contact and the ref has no decision to make.
The general standard of defensive play, even in the EPL, is appalling compared to years gone by, everyone is a midfielder now.

Whilst a nil all draw at Sunderland is nothing to shout about, I was exceptionally cheered up when I heard my local team had thrashed the Goons at home.
Go Younes Kaboul and the Hornets!
PS. Wenger blaming the referee and the weather

Can't disagree with that. Their supporters make more noise as well.

Completely outclassed last night! Played a champion team in the making. Well done Conte on how he has transformed he side since the visit to the Emirates.
On us, our midfield was non existence, Ox can hold his head up but Coqueline - waste of space! Doesnt help with Xhaka suspended, Santi and Ramsey injured, Elneny ACON & Wilshere out on loan - bet Wenger regrets that decision now!! Time to cash in on Mesut - yes quality player but again doesnt turn up in a big game. Iwobi is a talent and should be given the #10 role! Cech
Confidence is low and if we dont pick ourselves up soon our season could be over once again late Feb early March

Im a big Ozil fan, but he goes missing too often in these type of games.
Sanchez had probably his worst game for us.
Agree with Iwobi being a number 10. The kid has talent and is the future for us in that role.
Chelsea just too good. No-one is catching them now.
Saying all that, I don't think the first goal should have stood. Clear elbow to the head of Bellerin.
Def not intentional, but so what. An elbow to the head is still a free kick, right?

How do you know that Bellerin (who was pus btw) didn't head his elbow and not the other way around?
It's a contact sport ffs, injuries are going to happen and he won the ball. That's Arsenal's problem, they're as soft as shit, no steel in that team apart from Sanchez and Ramsey, a reflection of the manager maybe.

Was a game crying out for a solid defensive midfield but we got Coquelin & Ox. A starting combination from any of Giroud, Perez or Welbeck up front but we got Sanchez on his own who never got a single touch in the Chelsea penalty box. Losing’s one thing but it is just the inevitability of it all that pisses me off, that was embarrassing.
Agree with Iwobi but would love to see Cazorla given a run there again for what time he has left.

So when a player raises his boots and accidently makes contact with an opposition’s players head when challenging for the ball, that’s not a free kick?
The intent isn’t there, but it still happens.
Look at the replays and still photos of the incident. The arms are raised and his elbow makes contact with Bellerin’s head. Regardless of if he won the ball or ‘wanted it more’ there was contact to the head by an elbow.
Bellerin was out before he even crashed to the ground.
Would it have changed the result of the game? Probably not.
We were second best all over the park.

A fit Cazorla with a Xhaka as a defensive mid pairing would work well

But IMO, its still a free kick
A foot at head (or near) height is hardly a natural position, but an arm at shoulder height, especially when you're jumping, is and that's the difference.
IMO an injury doesn't determine a foul, just an unfortunate outcome of playing a contact sport.
