If you want to trial it then pick a lower league than the championship.

Umm Leeds 0 Newcastle 2 sell out crowd
IMO Leeds need a better keeper if its going to take the next step, Green continues to make big mistakes. Maybe a change could happen in the Jan transfer window.
Leeds missed Hernandez in midfield.
The back 4 are solid but when they won possession early they gave the ball away again to easily at times for me.
Leeds actually played better once they were 0-1 down. And if that hand ball was given in the penalty area things may have ended up differently. Gayle for Newcastle is quick makes good runs and can be deadly around goal. I thought Harris was also a dangerous player for Newcastle.
Leeds are not far off but I think a few more changes/improvements are required. Maybe way to many long diagonal balls for me, they need to mix it up a bit more.
I thought it was a nice touch having a minutes applause for Gary Speed at the 11 minute mark. The anniversary of his passing is this week and he played for both clubs. Well played to both groups of supporters.

Surely it should be done before kick off.

Are players also expected to stop what they are doing at this particular point in time?God is an Englishman wrote:He wore #11, hence the 11th minute.Vernon Howell wrote:Surely it should be done before kick off.
English is weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.

Leeds also had a number of regulars not playing, the result may have been different if the Leeds shot that hit the post went in, earlier in the game. Lice touch when both sets of supporters applauded Milner when he came on. Any idea why Liverpool were wearing black arm bands?Bomber wrote:At least Leeds lost, albeit to Liverpool reserves in that "other" cup.

Lucas asked if he could wear one as he knew some of the players who passed away. Jurgen said they all should out of respect.Mr Red wrote:umm could bePooraka Sałt wrote:They are professional mourners.

Isn't the black arm band just designed into the kit now?

Re: England - 2016-17 Still Going In The Championship :)
There are some weird 'memorials' at games these days - part the 'mass sympathy' model of the sad PC generation - wonder how many took selfies of themselves clapping?
By the way, what is behind these supporters that turn their backs on the game, during play, at games? :?
Seems a stupid way to 'support' your team as far as I'm concerned.
Why would you pay to watch a game and turn your back on it and miss all the action?
Morons, every one of them.

Not much has changed but it's publicised and beamed to all and sundry these days.
MOTD doesn't show the silences etc, as it's a highlights show, and years ago all we had were highlights from a few games.

As I said though, we are high profile. If Middlesborough v Bournemouth had a silence would it get much press?

Glad somebody got the irony of the statement.
But, please, can someone tell me why they turn their backs on the game?

A stabilising 1-1 draw with Blackburn, but Huddersfield missed too many opportunities.....
