If they did, then fair playing field.
Still completely wrong and spurs should be fined.
Good luck getting money out of Daniel Levy
Anyway, Spurs only changed 10, Liverpool changed all 11, although some those coming in would normally be first team.

Hard to be to enthused or upset over a reserve match.
Unlike Liverpool, Spurs have bigger fish to fry this season, which IMO, is why I can see Liverpool going close to winning the league this year, playing well with little else to worry about, they've just got to keep Coutinho on the park and they'll be thereabouts.

Very similar to Leicester last season, that's why you must include the Poo into 'the contenders' group

In place of the Goons perhaps?

I don't think it was reserve game, how many full internationals were on show? It wasn't full strength but for Liverpool only 2 players were not part of the first team squad.
It was odd we played a weaker team this game rather than the earlier rounds against weaker opposition.
I genuinely think teams in Europe should take it seriously (we did last year). Spurs have no hope of winning the CL so why take that more seriously than the League cup, that you may have won? It's not like you win much, is it one trophy in 20 years?

As a fan I'd tend to agree with you, I'd rather the trip to Wembley (although we're playing CL here anyway) and the possibility of a cup, even if it is the League Cup, but from a club's perspective with the massive money in the CL, I can see why they'd concentrate on that.
Plus it gives the second string and up and coming players a bit of a competitive outing, their chance to shine.

21 changes from the weekend's game? Sounds like a reserves game to me.

squad game these days, using fringe first team players, coming back from injury doesn't make them 'reserves'
