Re: Euro 2016 finals
Decent game I thought, was intriguing right the way through. France only have themselves to blame for not taking their chances. Portugal did well after the reshuffle following Ronaldo's exit, firstly in doing their bit defensively and as the game went on, becoming more of an attacking force. And four clean sheets in seven games, with three in the knockout phase. Congratulations to them.
Blame Scotland and ROI. It was their initial proposal to extend the tournament (Scotland still didn't qualify!). Of course, UEFA then went along with it. When put to a vote, only England and Germany voted against the expansion.Nice One Cyril wrote:+1ozzie owl wrote:That's what you get when you reward third placed group phase teams a spot in the knock out phase.Wayne Kerr wrote:Probably the Worst Portuguese team in history, wins the Euro Cup.
Great for Ronaldo to add to his collections, as he will probably never win the World cup!
UEFA driven purely by money, the more teams, the more matches, the more wonga, but the lower the quality.

Re: Euro 2016 finals
So the Euros has been reduced to this, God help us. Backwater football leagues like wales, NI, ROI, italy, albania etc. stack their sides with foreigners from footballing powers, keep 10 men behind the ball and defend, defend, defend. Wouldn’t cross the road to see that rubbish, rather watch Div. 2.
Still funny after a week though, typical Italy fouling and blocking their way through another comp. taking it all the long and dreary way to penalties only to miss four of them. Zaza?? Talk about a prancing horse, so, so good.

You must have watched a different game to me then, one of the most boring games I have seen.Juventino wrote:Decent game I thought, was intriguing right the way through.
