Seriously going to be a tough run in for every team! Macedonia have definitely signed some past players back (not Musti ) and pontian were certainly a different team to the side earlier in the year with some FFSA players boosting their team...
Another huge round this week with the top four promotion contenders all on 21pts.
Top placed Vista travel to 5th placed RAPTORS which could be an interesting game.
2nd placed Knights will be full of confidence after beating fellow contender Westies last week, take on 6th placed Ghan who will be tough to beat.
Easties in 3rd place have to travel to Savoy (9th) and will have to be mindful not to drop any points.
Westies drop from 1st to 4th after the loss to Knights last week, face a tricky challenge away to 8th place Angle Vale.
Pontian are languishing in the bottom half of the league and have a chance to move higher as they take on bottom placed Macedonia at home.

I've heard Raptors have picked up goalkeeper Lewis Moss from West Adelaide

Yes he played last week for Raptors - tomorrow's game will be played at the West Beach artificial pitch after the West Adelaide game - will be a tough game for MV
Angle Vale opting not to play due to pitch, both westies and ref wanted the game to go ahead. I'm guessing if one team and the ref want to play a forfeit will stand???
In my time at Anfield we always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.

I can't understand Angle Vales thinking on this ???
Struggling to avoid relegation, and deciding to go against the Refs decision, which would mean the loss of 3 precious points???
Please explain ???

Narrow minded decision by AV if true - a slur on the integrity of the competition and not fair on the other teams competing for promotion as goals were hard to come by judging by the other game results.
As much as Westies are our rivals, would be a real shitter to go for a game and have it called off not by the Referee but by the home team - sounds like they deserve the win
SAASL Rules
28 (a) If, in the opinion of the referee , the condition of the ground be such it constitutes a danger to the players ( or render the playing of the game farcical) and whether through inclement weather or any other cause , the game shall be postponed and the Referee and official Referee Assistants ( if any) shall be paid one half of the scheduled fees
28 (i) Where the ground conditions are such that it appears unlikely the match could be played, the home club shall advise the advise the Secretary of the League no later than 4pm on the preceding day.

heres a photo no wonder they didnt want to make it worse:
Judging by that photo the pitch appears to be unplayable. The results have not been updated on the saasl website so maybe the game has been postponed to be played at a later date ?
Did the ref know he'd get half his match fee either way
This is very interesting precedent for the league. curious to see how it plays out.

Teams may use an excuse if they have top players injured etc.
Judging by the pictures though, they really couldn't play on that. As a former player with knee injuries if I ever made a comeback, I'd never play on a pitch like that - I'd have to pull out of the squad on match day.

they could of let the league know the day before if this was the case, and with state of pitches it would have been believable, it seems odd they would get to ref inspection and not play.
two games played on the grange pitch on sunday and the pitch was heaps worse than that photo
The SAASL have handed down there decision Re Angle Vale Vs PHW, the game stands as a 2-0 win to PHW. The reasons given were the referee said the pitch was playable. There is an appeal going on.

Bill Shankly at Dixie Dean's funeral -
'I know this is a sad occasion, but I think that Dixie would be amazed to know that even in death he could draw a bigger crowd to Goodison than Everton on a Saturday afternoon'

I believe it was Leon, but happy to stand corrected
