Not in any close proximity to the ground itself and none that were made available to either Maiwand or ourselves (Prince Alfred).

They play at urrbrae college.

To PAC guy you will find consumption requires a license so if you did not have one i guess that's a good enough reason to evict you.

But if it was that bad surely the referee would of had a word...

Lol, talk about being blown out of proportion.

1) Maiwand played well, have skillful players and did not pick any fights etc.... that was the point about posting on this thread.
2) We were ahead or drawn 85% of the game, so it wasn't because they were winning; I was just reporting it for other Div4 teams that will play them later, as they seemed very fair
3) I never said anything about PAC stacking their team, we didn't accuse them of this at any stage, either at or after the game, I think you are misinterpreting my quotation marks as being sarcastic? PAC played well, I had no problem with the game itself, and yes they beat Unley 'reserves' (please see I'm not implying that we stacked our team) convincingly, so good luck to them in the next round.
4) Apologies for no change rooms being available, we were unaware the school had changed the locks to one of the changerooms, we could have shared the single one available, and we are working on getting the other's key; which btw is why we paid for the ref fee entirely and never asked for money from the opposition clubs (which wasn't offered anyway as far as I can gather).
5) PAC behaviour from the sidelines was no dramas during their game, we expect banter and heckling; however, carrying on, drinking alcohol and heckling two teams that are not your own at our home ground is an issue, hence why we asked you to leave.
6) Out of respect for another club, if we were at an opposition ground viewing players that had nothing to do with our team, we would not be carrying on and heckling players while drinking; This is the way our club operates, yours doesn't necessarily have to be the same, but if you do that at our ground we will ask you to leave like we did.

3. I can't see why else you would put quotation marked around reserves

4. Competition rules apparently state you should have given the away team your changing room

5. I can only imagine how bad this would have been for you. A group of footballers having a drink after a game. Have you seen a counsellor about it? I hope the nightmares end soon.

6. You actually asked them to leave. what a dull little club you must be involved with if a group of private school boys were too nasty for you.

I look forward to the Noarlunga game now and being asked to leave.

I was putting 'reserves' to try to explain that PAC was the 'B' or 'reserve' game, not the 'A' or '1st team' playing, hence why we weren't impressed about them staying on drinking and heckling for the next game 'A game' which they were not involved in. Of course, if they were actually playing at that point there is some crowd interaction to be expected, as I also expect it when we actually play Noarlunga in two weeks time.

Apologies to PAC if they thought I was accusing them of stacking their team, that was not what was intended.

The rules also state that the umpire costs are suppose to be split, yet I have only brought this up due to the complaints about the facilities (which we didn't know about until we got there)

Anyhow, we look forward to playing with all the other clubs in Div 3 this season, and will endeavor to be the best hosts that we can.

With all due respect when I played C's I always hung around and watched the B's and A's at that ground, even if our A's and B's were playing elsewhere.

Umpire costs? You're on the wrong forum, this is for football.

The italics don't help explain it was a reserves game? The word reserves does that quite well.

Where were the PAC first team playing, I would stay and watch the A grade game at the same venue of my A Grade were either not playing or at a venue I couldn't get to. Seems to me like your club is just up itself if you're complaining about supporters staying for a game and drinking beer.

I will be a neutral at the Noarlunga game. I hope I'm not asked to leave for drinking a beer. I assume with your jehovas witness type attitude to alcohol you won't have a bar so I'd better bring my own.

Wow.... "dull club" , "up itself", "jehova's witness attitude to alcohol"......

How insightful and mature.

At least "But beware of the Unley golf clap by their supporters...." is clever :)

We will be more than happy to have people come and watch us play.

Well you have complained about people drinking, how else am I supposed to take it if not like a Jehovas Witness. You have complained about being heckled by some private school boys - sounds pretty dull to me.

I can just imagine Tarquin'a best insult. "I bet you don't even have a butler"

You weren't happy to have PAC watch you play, how do I know you will be happy to have me watch? Will you complain if I buy a beer from your bar?

Not having a bar, showing the jehovas witness attitude again. Oh dear those "ruffians" from Prince Alfred College are drinking over there.

Out of curiosity do lower div teams have access to change rooms on a weekly basis?

Maiwand were very well behaved and are a skillful and friendly team, so there were no issues during the game.

PAC played the 'reserves' and their supporters were being quite inappropriate, even staying at our home ground after their win to heckle our A's players who played Maiwand while they were drinking; not a great representative example for PAC.
My name is Thomas Haering and i am the Head Coach of PAFC. Any comments made on a public form towards my club and more specific towards my players is not a great representative example for Unley United[/u]. Arriving at your home ground, which does not offer change rooms to the opposition team, is not a great representative example for Unley United. Whilst your team was sitting under a gazebo in the shade, we not even had chairs (for coach and subs) to sit on, offered by your club. Again not a great representative example for Unley United. Your uneven marking of the pitch and not providing a technical area ( a requirement for any amateur club) not a great representative example for Unley United.

Your club accusing PAFC of staking the team, is a personal attack towards me as the Head Coach. Maybe if your reserves coach would have spent less time on his mobile phone, and actually coaching his team, maybe the outcome would have been a bit different. Maybe if your team puts in as much hard work as my boys at training, they would have not run out of legs after 10 minutes and maybe the outcome would have been a bit different. Before you accusing us of cheating, which by the way is not a great representative example for Unley United, i am more than happy to provide you with a copy of our senior squad (played on Saturday) and you will see we had an extra player on the bench. No offence, but there is and never will be the need for PAFC to "stack" any of our teams, playing and Unley United team.

Watched PAFC last year, don't recall any seats for the away team on that day!!
Same game what you guys handed up as a pitch was far from great, in fact your grounds were unplayable and you rented other grounds, again no tech area!!
I can't think of many clubs below div2 that even have a tech area, let alone supply chairs if they don't have seats, let alone supply the away team with a Gazebo, maybe they should have filled your water bottles also...........

You maybe want to "take a page" out of our book. We had nearly 20 of our first team players coming down to support our "reserve team" that's what real clubs do! in regards to our drinking we had two cartons of beers with us. Divide that by 20 first team 15 "reserve team coach, assistant coach, physio, that's not even a beer each! So "loosen up" a bit and you might have even some of you "reserves" player staying back and supporting your first team.

I'm from no club, as stated "watched" meaning not playing, point is look in own backyard before saying such dribble cos if PAFC don't have technical areas, chairs and gazebos at their home ground get ready to hear all about from natives.

As you mentioned earlier the game you watched was at a 'neutral' venue. Feel free to come to one of our games this season and see for yourself, I'll even buy you a beer.

I'm pretty sure Iggies weren't allowed to sell alcohol on the school grounds (in Athelstone) and only sold it at Glenunga.

They were definitely allowed to sell it at athelstone when I played there as I remember the application for a licence happening. Also, Glenunga is a school ground as well.
