today we had a ref that was calling fould left and right for people going into 50/50's, some one nudging who ever had the ball, called 2 penalties...one for a player stepping inbetween of the ball and player and clearing it..... the other for both players holding eachother from half way down to the box.
he gave out a yellow card to the captain of a team for him asking how something wasn't a foul were as all little nudges were fouls.....
another for a player shoot when in offside position.... a red card to a player who swore to a coach after the coach was abusing the living hell out of him.
it was asif he was reffing netball with the stepping rule and the no contact rule.
i've complained about refs before but this time it's true he stopped play every 2 minutes.
one word for his job today deplorable

BTW: careful what you say if you are a player... code of conduct and all that!
We have to get used to it. We all watch English football and see how hard they all go in. And when we try to do this on the weekends the refs are way to soft.
BTW: Played a few games in England much hard and a lot of the soft stuff gets let go)

But the referee in the match has a lot of control. One bad decision can cost you the match, I saw three games this weekend and two of them were ruined by referee decisions. In one of the games, there was a clear offside. and this offside was not given when the flag had clearly been put up for offside. All players play the whistle but when you've got decisions like this being made, it really does make it difficult for the boys.
