Founded in Somerset UK in 1912 as West Beach AFC then re-adapted in as Adelaide as West Beach FC in 1932.

West Beach Soccer Club was started in 1965 by 3 people, 1 being Les Coulson. The club entered the S.A.A.S.L. IN 1967. The club had nothing to do with any club from 1932.

Re: West Beach FC First Divison Sunday League Pre-Season
To my knowledge this is a brief early history of West Beach Soccer Club. WBSC was started by 3 people, Les Coulson, Don McAffer & Tony Duffy in 1965 & they initially trained in the Gleneagles School on Grange Rd. After talks with the local council, they moved to Barratt Reserve & played friendlies until being admitted to the S.A.A.S.L in 1967. Players came to the club by various means including adverts in a church bulletin & word of mouth. The clubs 1st President was Les Coulson, 1st Treasurer was George Reid & their 1st strip was donated by a Tony Smith of Horsham U.K. who owned a sports store in the town. The strip was donated because Les' son Michael wrote to Mr Smith explaining the situation & as the Coulson family were from Horsham, Mr Smith obliged. The strip was all blue with a white collar for the 1st team & all red for the reserves. Early coaches included Don Cappola & Ian Dingwall. Early players included the Bene Brothers, Don, Guy &Sal Cappola, Amedio Morrozzi, Mike Caine, Dave Woodlands, Laurie Green, Rick Coburn, Jimmy Simpson, Frank Murphy, Frank Morrola, Frank Segui, Sammy Passalakis, Roy Patterson, Tony Cook, Bolkus Hasbolla, Paul & Michael Coulson & Peter Beesley ( a later President). To start a club in those days from nothing is a testament to the above people and to their wives/girlfriends who worked behind the scenes. Apologies to anyone that I have missed naming, or whose name is spelt incorrectly, feel free to add any information you may have, it will be of interest.
