Re: Blatter and Platini
I'm actually pleasantly surprised that the ethics committee carried this through, I suspected it might all be a media circus and end with a month ban or something stupid like that.

Whether we get someone honest in their place is the problem.

no, they're useless but come on we all know that an aussie would never be involved in match fixing or corruption.Bomber wrote:You think we're all thrilled with the mob running the FFA/FFSA?God is an Englishman wrote:What if they bring in an Aussie, we all know they never do anything wrong.

We are usually squeaky clean, but like everything, you'll always find a couple exceptionsGod is an Englishman wrote:no, they're useless but come on we all know that an aussie would never be involved in match fixing or corruption.Bomber wrote:You think we're all thrilled with the mob running the FFA/FFSA?God is an Englishman wrote:What if they bring in an Aussie, we all know they never do anything wrong.

There wasn't any corruption when an Englishman ran FIFA.Wayne Kerr wrote:as long as its NOT an Englishman, FiFA should be in good hands.
I think it's actually time we took the game back. We let foreigners become involved and they've just mucked it up.

Well Seb Coe is in charge of the International Atheletics now and that is even more corrupt than FIFA - and he's English.
At least FIFA didn't have an entire country charged with being a drug cheat!

Re: Blatter and Platini
The corruption came before Coe was involved, Coe appears to be instrumental in getting rid of it and the reason these bans are coming out.Old Master wrote:God is an Englishman wrote:There wasn't any corruption when an Englishman ran FIFA.Wayne Kerr wrote:as long as its NOT an Englishman, FiFA should be in good hands.

I don't believe for one minute that athletics is more corrupt than FIFA, there's african dictatorships not as corrupt as FIFA.

Haven't you heard that Russia is possibly going to be banned from competing at the Olympics due to their widespread drug doping?
Even FIFA haven't stooped that low - yet.

Well done, you have shown that one country is bad not a whole sport. Next!Old Master wrote:Quote from GIAE:

Re: Blatter and Platini
difference between IAAF and FIFA corruption is IAAF corruption is actually about the sporting competition itself, systematic state-sponsored doping, on the field integrity whereas FIFA corruption is about kickbacks from marketing deals and votes for political positions, off the field integrity.
which one is worse?
