I would like to congratulate all that made it, I don't think it matters where they are from, all need congratulating equally.

Great experience for those selected to represent the state in this tournament. Has the team list been announced?New name required wrote:I would like to congratulate all that made it, I don't think it matters where they are from, all need congratulating equally.

I agree, however, I do not know the full list.New name required wrote:I would like to congratulate all that made it, I don't think it matters where they are from, all need congratulating equally.

Well done and congratulations to all boys selected.
My son took part last year and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Is it true that the tournament is being held on the same weekend as Schoolies ?

That will be great for the young kids. I rate Steve as one of the best coaches i've worked under, he brings alot to the table with his footballing experience and teaching principles.runcorn2adelaide wrote:StevieG from Birks I believemagic wrote:Well done. Enjoy the experience. Who's coaching ?

First Game today for U19 Boys team::
SA v Pakistan
SA won convincingly.
Had a penalty, goal disallowed and hit the crossbar numerous times. Boys did well to stay focussed against weak opposition.

Day 2 Pacific School Games: Football
SA U19 Boys draw 1:1 against Victoria
Tough game. Victoria very competitive but (bit biased) - SA could have won the game.
Game on against Queensland Tuesday at 4pm.

U19 Boys lost to Queensland this afternoon.
SA 0:3 Queensland.
I wasn't there but heard it was a physical game - we allowed them to play their game.
1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss. That means SA finish 3rd in Group behind Victoria and Queensland.
Game against NSW 8am Wednesday.

U19 Boys lost to NSW this morning.
So disappointing - they were evenly matched for most of the game.
SA 0:4 NSW
The score does not reflect SA's competitiveness.

That's the same story with Adelaide United in the A-LeagueBenmat wrote:U19 Boys lost to NSW this morning.

Re: SA State School boys Team
Delighted to see that the U12 Boys are having a great Games. Fantastic effort.
The U19 Boys did not fare well against ACT this evening.
A game of two halves right enough.
Conceded 3 goals (the free kick goal would have to be goal of the week) in first half, scored 2 in second half.
Refereeing in first half was shocking - SA captain red carded, team manager sent away from coaching area).
Our boys dug deep and showed some mettle in the second half.
SA 2:3 ACT
Hope the boys can end the week with a win against WA tomorrow morning.
Come on SA!

Re: SA State School boys Team
U19 Boys finished the tournament with a win over WA in what was a very fiesty game.
WA had 2 red cards, SA had one (unfortunately our player retaliated after being head-butted).
SA boys did well to maintain their dignity.
SA 1:0 WA

Fees were $600 plus about $400 for strips, tracksuit etc.God is an Englishman wrote:How is it possibly that much when it's in Adelaide?slavia wrote:playing in Adelaide.

pity the fees didn't stretch to a team Physio. Would have been a real asset for the boys.
