Have a quiet look at Adelaide City's A teams in each age group...... luck of the draw or rigged? You decide.

There is not an Adelaide City A team winning by any less than 10 goals. Ridiculous.

Even so i think the baseball "mercy rule" should be enforced.

A win will see you through to the next round, a masacre won't get you any extra brownie points either.

How do the two sets of parents / players see the game.

Sorry just my P.O.V.

i agree some of these results are over the top, im involved with an under 15s team and they won 15 nil against a 'C' side. i think that there should be a first round excluding the 'A' teams. have the B and C teams play against each other then enter the A teams in the second round

:?: So on the assumption a C team gets through to the second round and comes up against an A team, what will happen then? I guess they have experienced some success in the Cup but it's still gonna be short lived.

That's true but if they get another B or C team in the next round it gives them a positive note to build on :D

Sure an underdog has nothing to loose but lets think of the building and developing aspect.

My concern is that is a team comes off the tail end of a 10 + loss how many players will think "What's the point ?" and give up.

Modbury 5-0 up at half time then Para come back in the second half and win 6-5 ! Yeah guess that's unlikely....Modbury wouldn't have got 5 in the first place !! Sorry...couldn't resist

i highly think modbury are capable of getting 5 goals..................

and good job to para to come back from that.......... :x

p.s u wouldnt take the foot off the pedal if they got one goal back would u...............

but i doubt u would take ur foot off the pedal if they came one goal behind you???.............

it could happen im not saying it couldnt.

Dreaming, I'm always dreaming . . . . . .

Great song that !

Over the years a lot can be said about the sporting rivalries between clubs, a lot of respect between all just stokes up the passion when they / we  meet again

Think that was Vera Lynn sang that one, so my granddad told me

if they are on the end of a 22 goal drubbing maybe they shouldn't be playing club in the first place, stick to school soccer and they could have just as much fun! :) because honestly the players in teams like that are very unlikely to go on any further than 17's any way
