If it's not over my lunch on day 3 then Australia will win (unless it's raining anyway)N5 1BH wrote:Be careful what you wish for. 20-20 batting on a seaming wicket and the test was nearly over in 2 days, should be over in 3. Is it test cricket

And fair enough (seaming wicket) - and until the Aussies can come to grips on how to bat on such wickets, they will struggle. Which is why I was a bit bemused when there was talk about preparing slower wickets, to so call "quell" the Aussie fast bowlers.N5 1BH wrote:Be careful what you wish for. 20-20 batting on a seaming wicket and the test was nearly over in 2 days, should be over in 3. Hope we can at least get a 120 lead (doubt it though) just to make it a little interesting.

Cue B. Toomer to come out of the woodwork.

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
4th test starts later today. Well, put simply Australia must win, even though a draw still keeps their ashes retention hopes alive.
Bit of speculation of who will be in/out but again, I think even though the last test proved otherwise, it will be handy to win toss and bat first up, even with a bit of juice in the wicket. Anderson missing out could be a big loss for England - we shall see.

10 wickets for Jimmy the last ashes in Nottingham. Huge loss but Broad bowling well and Finn had a pretty good return to test cricket. Wood to come back in as well.
What will the Aussies whinge about this test?

Faulkner banned from driving in England for 2 years and fines 10,000 (not sure if $ or £). Also out of the limited overs internationals as well.

I'm thinking about whingeing that the pitch isn't perfect for our bowlers.Bomber wrote:More the point, what would YOU whinge about this test?God is an Englishman wrote:10 wickets for Jimmy the last ashes in Nottingham. Unless I'm mistaken the last time an Ashes game happened at Trent Bridge it was won after Haddin hit it and stood his ground.
