Re: Cricket World Cup
Hawkesy will just state that the players aren't from Bangladesh but from East Pakistan and therefore they cheated.

No Hawkesy will state that England were abysmal and the coach should be sacked immediately. Something he told the coach personally last night.
He will not try to deflect blame onto one of the worst decisions he's ever seen on a cricket pitch.

Dear @ECB_cricket, this might not be a great time, but as there's room in your schedule, fancy a game in Japan on the way home? #challenge

Shame it didn't rain enough.
Re that run out, WAY too much doubt, therefore in my eyes, not out. May not have changed the result though, so let the sackings begin!

The old saying - If in doubt, not out. I don't think you can definitely say whether the bat had fully lifted or not. SO not out. However, why was he even attempting the run in the first place? Last ball of the over, should have been looking to leave Woakes on strike anyway.
Moores just has to go. Didn't like him before this world cup.

Even Australia wouldn't have a coach with a Mullet, this must be a sign of how desperate things have become.God is an Englishman wrote:Bomber wrote:Shame it didn't rain enough.![]()

Re: Cricket World Cup
Recycling old players won’t even touch the surface, wasn’t Pietersen’s average for the Ashes whitewash below 30?
Our main issue is an ineffective bowling attack, put Pietersen in and the field gets weaker. If you were going to do that I would have gone for Luke Wright; good batting form over here, decent bowler and great fielder. Maybe even mix it up with left armers Harry Gurney and Steve Parry instead of Tredwell and Finn, couldn’t have gone worse

On that ashes series, can you name an Englishman who scored more runs than KP?

I'd have a guess at Bell but that's probably wrong. I do remember a lot of batsmen with similar averages to PietersenGod is an Englishman wrote:On that ashes series, can you name an Englishman who scored more runs than KP?

No, Bell did not score more runs than KP. Another try?
