We won the Cup in front of a full house that sold out in a couple of days, weeks in advance, in a season where we broke (smashed is more accurate) the attendance record for a football match in this state, with a record average match attendance for a football team in this state, playing the best football (imo) that any club side in this state has ever played, and we're sitting third in the league, the players are rock solid together, the coach is universally loved (one notable exception), the club's owners have shut up except for giving the players a good bonus ... all is going so well that the only thing the haters can say is that it should be better ... better players, better crowd.

Well if AU played four games at the AU played at four games and we had some of the best players in the world playing imagine what the crowds would have been?

Hopefully at the end of the season AU make finals and presumably the matches will be played at AO so there actually is a decent chance that AU will play 4 games at AO this season if you include the Malaga match. So as it stands this season AU's AO average crowd is 28k.

Last week I went to Hindmarsh and Adelaide Oval. In one sport I watched one of the world experts in his field, in the other I watched a guy who was shit at Millwall.

in one sport I watched 2 hours with a great atmosphere and some good banter and my son got his hero's autograph, the other saw a crowd who appeared to be asleep for the first 60 minutes.

In one sport I managed to walk up to the bar and got a beer very quickly, in the other I stood in a queue for 20 minutes.

I will always prefer football to cricket, and test matches to T20 but which game was more enjoyable last week? Answer was not even a close decision.
