A - Asteras 3 Noarlunga 4
B - Asteras 6 Noarlunga 2

Asteras GK was taken off 2 mins into the match after being kicked in the head by his our player and busted open his eye, this was the break for Noarlunga who used this to their advantage and scored 3 first half goals, Asteras fought back second half but in the end Noarlunga took the game out 4-3.

The Downs pitch is crap and almost unplayable, 2 penalties CRAP! 1 each side, Send off CRAP, REFEREE WAS CRAP and lost control, booked 8 players in the first half. Sent one off in the 2nd half (From gardens)

Downs played better and were a better side but THE REFEREE INFLUENCED THE GAME WAY TO MUCH!

Its such a pity that this happens and I realise that you need them to play but someone from the refs association or the amateur league must step in to improve the standard as the refs just stuff games up and take there money thinking they have done a good job when they havent.

Its round 1 so ts going to be a long year!!
Your joking about the ref? Parafield came out kicking the shit out of the Downs. What was he ref supposed to do? Let it get out of hand? Kaboobie did a good job. I think the Downs copped its fair share of the yllow cards and were on the back end of an equal number of dubious decisions.Yes he showed a lot of yellow cards but he had to to keep the game under control. The second half was good hard fought tussle without the usual niggly shit.

A bad loser, parafield supporter maybe??

yeh i guess he will be fine, but his eye was all swollen up and he couldnt play anymore, there was about a 10min delay due to the injury... him coming off out of goals put a whole in that position because of the quality keeper he is.

A's - Vista 3-1 Bulldogs
B's - Vista 5-4 Bulldogs

Reserves did me proud, coming back from from 3-1 down. Not sure if it was the roasting at half time or they grew some nuts during the break, but matched the Dogs boys physically and eventually I think the fitness showed through. Great game to watch, no dirty tackles, thanks to the Dave and the rest of the Dogs boys, good luck for the rest of the season.

ttg 3 raptors 3

game dominated by gully against a stubborn 6 man raptors back line.a soft penalty in the second minute (for raptors)and 10 minutes of domination by the gully in which 3-4 chances went begging then a penalty to ttg which was missed. plenty of good football was played in the first half but the score was only 2-1 keeping raptors well in the game.after 10-15mins in the second half raptors replied with a well squared ball(albeit poor defendinding), gully then regained the lead with a good 20yard strike only to see the opposition go down the other end and wait for a fumble into their path for the equalizer.raptors to their credit were better value in the second half playing more of 5-3-2 rather than 6-3-1.definitely 2 points dropped for gully. game was played in pretty good spirit(only the odd spat). still raptors created enough to suggest they'll be very competitive

Fulham 2 - Ingle Farm 2

Fulham went 1 up after a 20 yard free kick cracker by J Braiotta gave the keeper no chance and it stayed that way till half time.

Farm got a penalty midway thru 2nd half which was saved and then converted on the 2nd chance.

John Lipari then scored another blinder for Fulham with a left foot volley on the turn and from there Farm pushed and pushed and got the equalizer with about 5 min to go.

All in all a good game with Fulham having the better chances (poster and clear 1 on 1 chance with the keepr) but Farm did dominate possession last 15 mins.

Fulham B's did not field a team but due to several new signings not showing up - this will NOT happen again as they will be shown the door and Fulham B's will have a team on the park next week.

Apologies to Farm.

Also hear Inter beat Westies 1-0.
Where will you get the players from to replace the several new siginings?
Already looking after round 1?

Reserves 3-0
First Team - called off at 3-2 (to Pontian)

In the reserves Pontian were denied a penalty in first half (i thought it was a dive as did referee but player admitted at halftime it was a pen)

Second half they had another claim which was at best 50-50 - most if not all agreed the better team won although 3-0 flattered us

First team - was a great game although referee lost control early and didn't improve - lucky first goal for Knights - soft pentalty for Pontian - we went 2-1 up hit both posts and crossbar they hit back and scored two quick goals - could still have gone either way with 15 minutes to go

However after a niggly game two player punched on - won't say much but there Goalkeeper (surely he's not their normal keeper as he was very poor) ran from 60 yards and got involved as did about 30 of their supporters two children were hurt I hope strong action is taken
Pretty poor if kids got injured. I agree lets hope strong action is taken.
No need for this crap at games.

Knight, do you guys have any idea what will happen with the result? SOunds a bit rough if Pontian get the win...!
Sorry I was out tonight

1) I think Pontian's "superteam" were suprised by the Knights at very least we deserved a draw
2) If 'Golden Eagle" was playing in goals today he is a disgrace - at very least he was poor then ran 60 yards jumped into the crowd knocking kids etc
3) After dominating the forum no Pontian guys on tonight? Hmmm
40 If Pontian get the win and the Golakeeper doesn't get at least 6 weeks I will personally throw everything I have at the Amateur League

2 good games ruined by an overweigtht goalkeeper and supporters looking for trouble

Sounds like TTG have a dodgy defence if they let 3 goals in against 1 attacker. Who scored your goals today? Any ex vista players just to get that topic up and running again.... zzzzz!

what caused the punch on?
nothing major poor referee and a bit of push and shove with the wrong guy both threw punches but to be honest our guy did better - found out after their guy was the goalkeepers brother in law but thats the goalkeeper who had a shocking game turned it from one on one into an all in!

Most of their guys were great lots of support and 4-5 really class players - they just seemed like they were shocked by us and how we took the game to them. I think however their goalkeeper is will have a lengthy break and their reserve goalkeeper is very poor - if the Amateur League don't act - I know what we would do 3-2 up and under pressure!!!!!

shame you didnt come to watch our game mate...........
you are obviously well knowledged about our style of play!
or did you?
I'd love to read your comments.

we'll let the ex vista boys start that topic up again but at the end of the day its the 1st game, raptors obviously went to ttg looking for a result and got it.
TTG won't be far away come the end of the season.
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Yeh,
I hear you Knight
Its a shame when it all goes pete tong like that.
It will be interesting to see what comes of it.

If anyone ran into the crowd and hurt one of my kids I'd be in there like a helicopter in trouble, arms and legs flying about everywhere till the culprit got his just deserves.........
I can see why it got messy.

I hope the kids are ok

Yeah, the Gully defence was a little underdone with 3 boys serving suspensions from last season. Fortunately, we have a bit of depth with the boys coming up doing well. If you are going to drop points it's better you drop them early. Expect better in the coming weeks.

As for you 'onthepissagain' I have played in the Gully first team for the last 3 years and the only payment I have received is the few JD's after the game.

Yes, Mr Carra, I was at the game today. Was very impressed with your performance and the team looked alot better than the ones I had seen in preseason. Some very decent young players out there.

But we dont know how good the Bulldogs will be. They looked competitive and I dont think they'll be the worse team in Div 2. But you can only beat the team in front of you.

Cant make next week's game, but I'll be back soon!

Just regarding the pontians game. what happens if a game if abandoned does the score remain or does it get replayed? What was the cause of the abandonment?

One of the Pontians officials or perhaps supporters (he had a Pontians top on so can't be sure) had a real go at the referee after the game - plus both the goalkeeper and their supporters were in the report so we are confident of a good outcome but you never know

usually if two thirds of the game is complete = 60 minutes the score can remain BUT the fact that the eagles seem to be the major players involved would seem very harsh if they kept the score, my money would be on a midweek replay at grange with the amateur league to keep the bar takings!!

mmm unplayable 12 goals in three games tells me different. a numbat did wheelies on our pitch over easter and a few tonne of top soil was needed to fill in gouged surface, but unplayable is a bit over the top. Downs came from 1 down to win .

Was at the East V Florina game very scrappy at times
DRAW FAIR RESULT
Send off a joke
How can 1 player ( Florina No 4 ) grap the east keeper (Fat Spud) and drag him to the ground free kick no card not even a talking to
Then in the second half a little love tap on Fumble Fingers reynolds Saggs 2nd yellow
Ref did not have a bad game
PS Nice dive in the box Billy Elliot, Aitken is to slow so he couldn't of tripped you

A's: Polonia 1 - 3 MSSC Blue Eagles
B's: Polonia 2 - 1 MSSC Blue Eagles

Good result with two early first half goals after losing our captain to a knee injury (hoping it's not too serious). We scored the sealer midway through the second half, but conceded through some sloppy defending. Polonia piled on the pressure, but we managed to stand firm. Good first up result.
