This annoys the fxxk out of me, they play for YOU, they represent YOU, suck it up and be proud to support the team from YOUR town. Choosing a team when you have no ties to any I can understand to a degree.Doome wrote:Because my city team play too awful
This however makes my blood boil, its the reason why there is so much of a gap between the big clubs and the rest.

Not every local club plays for everyone in that locality. Especially in Australian soccer where clubs often represented an ethnic group, rather than the locality they were based.
Plus, how many people in England wold live in an area with a non-league club extremely close, but choose to support the closest League club?

Yes but they didn't say 'I don't feel represented by my local club.' They said they were 'too awful'wizard wrote:Yes and no..Ernie Cooksey wrote:This annoys the fxxk out of me, they play for YOU, they represent YOU, suck it up and be proud to support the team from YOUR town. Is it based on an area of the city, or working class/rich folks?

Went up by 3 points from the last game.
I am touched that a UTD fan is concerned about Liverpool, appreciate it.

Re: Why do you support your club?
Just saw a personalised number plate at the Cove shops LFC-000 ... nice for supporting a Club, but to have three 0s after the club initials is a bit ominous or pessimistic isn't it ?

Sheffield United derives support from a broad cross-section of the community. The majority of football fans in the S2 postcode of the city (where the ground is located) are Sheffield United fans, particularly the Sharrow, Heeley, Highfield, Manor and Park Hill areas of the city. There are also a lot of supporters in the S3 areas, close to the city centre, S8 and around the Gleadless area, a strong contingent from the Dearne Valley, with a large supporters club from Swinton.
The Owls draw support from all areas of Sheffield, wider South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire & North Notts. Significant concentrations of support exist in the north of the city, areas such as Hillsborough, Stannington, Parson Cross, Ecclesfield, Chapeltown, Wisewood,Grenoside and Stocksbridge in particular.
Owls traditionally have a larger supporter base with the City split about 60/40.
I hope this helps.

It stands for how many EPL titles they'll win in the next three seasons.
