Re: SAASL State Team
Good to see Jimmy Okello in action for the State team.
A good representation of the quality in the Saturday league.

Re: SAASL State Team
Good work Swanny was a long day for you & your boys but well done.
Although the wind played havoc in both games the surface was superb. The Riverland people enjoyed our company & were very hospitable towards us especially with the chops but their officiating was laid back to say the least next game should hopefully have SAASRA & EDRA officials.
Fair to say SAASL team certainly played the more attractive football with Lindsay, Scooter & Luke all playing well but credit to Riverland who were physical (few footy players) & played a counter attacking game scoring on the break. Their #15 did well in midfield & had two young wide players who had a bit of pace with the big #12 up front scoring twice. Scoreline could have been much larger had Jimmy, Gundas, Lindsay, Luke & others put their chances away in the first half instead going over the bar & halfway to Mildura.
Although it wasnt vs Adelaide Utd it was great for the lads to represent the SAASL state team which they all enjoyed &are looking forward to the game in Whyalla on 11 Oct hopefully we might also see an improved performance for Frankel & Big G who didnt have their best games .
Had to laugh at the photo of the bus & if you look closely an SAASL official giving Swanny the salute

Re: SAASL State Team
The Riverland seniors went down 5-3 in a well played, tough match. Both sides stood up well on the afternoon with the opposition saying they expected an easy match and were more than surprised at how tough it was. Pity there wasn't a few more supporters or club reps from the Riverland teams out there.
Didn't know you were going to be there (or what you actually look like) swanny. Otherwise I would've said hello.
The Riverland boys are a great bunch with some real talent.

Great pics Swanny, looks like it was a windy and warm day up in the Riverland.

Re: SAASL State Team
I was on the other side to most pretty much on my own with my two lads...I can be seen in some of the photos on the Barmera United Facebook page. If someone could give me a listing of the players in the Riverland team photo above in the order they appear on the photo...I could photoshop names onto the foot of the photo as I have done with the SAASL team photo.... He cracked me up one day when he asked who we were playing against on the weekend after the coach had announced we were playing an internal trial.
