Round 1

Post by BocaChiefs »

Round 1 kicked off tonight at Campbelltown. U16's had their season opening match played tonight. They played SASI girls and Campbelltown were comfortable winners 3 - 0. Campbelltown had most of the posession and should have won by more if it wasn't for their accuracy on goals. SASI looked un organised and had a few girls missing from last years squad. To the rest of the JPL the season starts on Sunday and hopefully it is a great atmosphere for all teams.

Bocachiefs how do you rate these two sides.
ABE, Adelaide City, Mdbury and possibly SASI girls fielding strong sides in this comp. Were SASI girls missing players?

Campbelltown were good created oppurtunities and pushed the ball around well. There defence was strong all night and held them to no goals. As for Sasi Girls it wasn't that flash. With only three shots and none of them on target they got a long way to go. They were missing some key players which would boost their side once they come back.

KRAZY

sasi girls didn't have one decent shot on goal all night. All they did was flood their defence with 5 girls at the back. (very difficult to get passed!). They passed the ball round well but didn't even look close like scoring until late in the game with a mix up between keeper and defender.

Where did i say that we were dominant and looking like we had 100 shots on goal? Oh thats right i never said anything about what you just felt the need to go on about! I was talking about the level of frustration being caused by the girls. Pretty sure the system was not 5 at the back either..

city boys didnt have many decent shots on goal either. Created some fantastic opportunities but the open goal on more than one occasion was just too much to handle. I think its back to open goal shooting for them this week...

Sometimes u dont need to have multiple shots at goal in order to come away with 1 or 3 points. There was a stage during the game where i actually thought sasi would sneak one and win 1-0 but it wasnt to be. Sasi weren't playing with 5 at the back. Its a standard flat back 4

This was a good game, SASI was very good, all the girls played good football.
I don't no about the boy's getting frustrated!!!! KrAzY, for the girls to be playing football like SASI did last night it was good to see.
Can you please tell me the ages of the girls playing.
But I have to say that Adelaide City had the upper hand all game.

yes city did create some great opputunities but just couldn't finish. But at the end of the day 3 points is what counts.

well if they wernt playing a back 5 they where just flooding the defence and playeing on the counter attach. which i thought they did well. How have sasi gone in their other games?

Yes i admit city where getting frustrated as our shots where not going in as we should of defanitly snuck a few more in the back of the net

umm yeh i think so. there were a couple of 16 year olds out there. most would be in the 18-19 age bracket tho

sasi have only played one other game this season and they lost 3-0 to campbelltown, dont think that was their best game either
