Manchester United = Absoloute Class!!
boy am i excited... wat a game, it was coming... but not 7 goals
afta the loss in rome last week i was confident we had a great chance of goin through... the away goal was crucial and it came from a guy who hasnt scored since his cl debut 2 and a half yrs ago...
playin at home, i always knw we will score, and afta the 1st goal i was hopin for a 2nd goal so we could kill off the game... when it came i knew we had 2 defend well and roma had 2 score 2 goals to get through
all goals were great, but for me the 2nd goal was the best... the build up was world class, quick, 1 touch passing and it was in the back of the net. smith deserved his goal, and he was rightly rewarded! u could c all the emotion come out as soon as it hit the bak of the net, as he knew that the memorys of that fa cup game last season vs liverpool was out the window...
fletcher in my mind had a great game, he was there puttin pressure on romas midfielders and even dispossed totti a few times... we needed a big effort in the middle since we were without paul scholes and he provided it!!
but now 2 anotha man, michael carrick... absoloute classy performance, a great passer of the ball... neva will replace roy keane, but then again he was neva bought in the team 2 replace him... his 1st goal was all class, and all the carrick haters can go get f-kd...
rooney and ronaldo well need i say more, ronaldo is, let me write this in caps lock... RONALDO IS BY FAR THE GREATEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD!!!
finally to all u manchester united haters, id like 2 say go fk urselfs! 2nite we showed that we play the best free flowin attacking football and if u cnt sit back and appreciate that then u know nuffin bout football!!!
"The treble looms large"

i agee.. fletcher did a great job there ... and he's doing quite well too in 1st leg after sub in ... i actually like this kid..
and i agree... nobody come close to ronaldo atm ... he's by far the best player in the world... he tear the roma's defence into pieces .. for those who said he'll struggle in serie a, u r damn damn wrong ... he just play the romas defenders a fool ...
as for carrick, he's overpaid ehy ??
treble here we come

pffft United werent that good.
Scoreline overexaggerates things slightly.
Roma's defence was hopeless. Panucci all over the place, Mexes and Chivu gone walkabouts, Cassetti - did he even play??, Pizzaro playing the new position of wandering defensive mid. At times it was De Rossi onto 6-7 United players. Very open game too, i cant see another open game like that in the CL anytime soon.
This kind of cockiness vs Milan or Bayern will result in ManU going home at the Semis.

exactly my thoughts, like i said in another post, man utd were allowed to play, roma were just waiting for the game to end, so 7-1 is not a reflection of the way roma played, they didnt careThe Kop wrote:pffft United werent that good.

you cant be serious they are proffesionals..they do not even have a mind set like this..but if true what has the serie A come to..
1st u guys said that seria a has the best defence in the world.. and roma is one of the best defence team in seria a this season .. now u said their defence is a joke.. so is that mean the whole seria a's defence is a joke too ???The Kop wrote:pffft United werent that good.

didnt u see them? it was like a training match, turned into a farce, creadit to man utd for killing the game off so quickly but ive seen amateur league games with more intensity, and this being because the contest was over in the first 20 minutes, i honestly dont hink man utd set the world on fire, they werent THAT good, good but not that good, people shouldnt get carried away, i can see milan being the brick wall that man utd hit, or bayern could do the damage too, to say that man utd will win the champs league is going bit far at this stagebluenose wrote:olympiakos wrote:exactly my thoughts, like i said in another post, man utd were allowed to play, roma were just waiting for the game to end, so 7-1 is not a reflection of the way roma played, they didnt careThe Kop wrote:pffft United werent that good.

your kidding rightTheInterMan wrote:In all honesty, don't you guys feel a little silly losing to a team that you could beat 7-1. Thats like Galaxy losing to seaford.
why would you take a negative like that out of a 7-1 win they are the second placed team in italy and manu absoluteley thrashed them enough said
the quality of leagues do chop and change but i think this truely shows the difference in the 2 leagues at this present time. 1 italian team left still with a game to play to qualify 3 english left liverpool still to play but i think most ppl would say they have made it and the team that lays in second in italy go out to an absolute drubbing like this we would hope that the quality of italian football can get back to what it was a fews years back
I speak nothing but the truth
Do not take this 7-1 result as an indication that Serie A is shit. I hate Roma but they beat Man U in the first leg and conceding 7 goals is a one-off. It will never happen again. I seriously doubt any other team in the Serie A will concede 7 goals in one match. Obviously though Man u were good and roma were shit.

Always having a dig ey Moooooley?????
I am a passionate United supporter and love my Italian team as well.
I have never bagged United against losing in rome and am so FRICKEN proud of the azzurri winning their 4th world cup. Mate one day when ur team actually qualify and scores a goal in the tournament, u may have a chance on winning a game let alone a world cup.
So keep ur rascist slurs out of this topic. It has nothing to do with Italy's national team.
Last time I checked, Roma as well as Man Utd have many foreign players in their teams, so ur points are quite foolish.
