He was away from the pitch not doing any harm. The referee made a big deal out of nothing.
Why couldn't the person in question just walk away as per the referee's instruction???

Irrespective, Uni have been short changed here big time.

There were not involved in the incident, hand a one nil lead and now have to replay the entire game at 0-0, at a critical point of the season.

Why should he? There was no reason why the referee couldn't have just got on with the game.

Why should he? Because the referee insisted for whatever reason.

Surely it wasn't that hard just to walk away??

So from now on, whenever someone feels a ref has erred in judgement, they should just hold their ground and bring the game to a standstill. Game gets abandoned, then you fight it out in an appeal. Ridiculous outcome for an incident that was entirely avoidable, and the one party who gets punished, is the one party who was completely innocent, being Uni.

So he hadn't just been abusing the keeper as we have heardm

Irrelevant anyway, he's a club official and should have known better.

Let's hope the league title has been decided by the time this fixture is played..

I can see this going through the courts because of the enormity of what's at stake.

BOSA probably won't want to play it then.

If you new all the facts you would understand that both BOSA and Adelaide Uni were short changed with the game being abandoned at the 43 minute mark just before HT because a spectator was laying behind the goals. All that was required was common sense with the referee asking a yellow coat to move the spectator if he thought he was so much of a threat.

I assume the SAASL have agreed he wasn't hence the decision to replay the game.

Not that I saw. Having said that, you've heckled me in the past when I played in goals. I never gave a shít. Two minute's to half time... play out the half and the keeper would be down the other end. Simples.

You could ask the same about the referee. Like I said, the was well away from the pitch and not brining the game to a standstill as you claim.

All this has done is prove common sense has no chance of prevailing when two idiots argue.

And you must also admit that the idiot should have just moved.

I've heckled lots of people, but if the ref asked me to move then I would.

I am guessing (and I stress guessing) that input from the two official linesmen that were there may have persuaded the league to replay the game.

I've updated the results for Round 15 (first day back at work) and will post in the morning.

I have removed the Round 5 AU v Bosa, and added the R10 OISC v Modbury.

I'll add the Round 16 games in with the update tomorrow.
