Sorry Hatchet... ProudHornet is a man of his word. Branden never took the field earlier this year against Noarlunga in either the reserves or first team ... Andrews Farm NEVER play ineligable players......I await his response

dont worry about passit hatchet. he is just peed off their ressies couldent win 10 nil. seaford could feel the same about asia canceling at the last minute without giving any reason to my knowledge. seaford a has not had a game for 3 weeks now. our thanks to unley ressies for turning out for the catch up game. my apologies to centrals also. seemingly their pitch was crap. wouldent want to have to do what dingy did,a long drive for nothing.

I dont know about everyone else, but Id just like to see some teams in this league playing games. Seaford hasnt played for a few weeks, Neither has Noarlungas reserves. Aldinga got a forfeit as well. Centrals and Croatia cant play anything on their pitches due to waterlogging and Andrews Farm struggling for numbers on the pitch come match days. Of course Sierra didnt even start playing till about round 3 and Asia only have 1 team.

Just a pity really. All the good intentions that are just not being followed through with.

You do have to feel sorry for those teams who turn up week in week out only to be told the other team are a no show. we hold nothing against the Croatia lads. We travelled out there because we thought a postponement had to be issued by the first team ref. As it stands the pitch was waterlogged but I've played in much more dangerous conditions. Anyone who had to play on Adelaide High school (Blue Nile) last year will attest to that. It was like Bambi on ice. Oily mud over the whole pitch. Ref played it to my amazement and they even let the ressies play on it before the first team.

Blue nile used to be flooded in each goal mouth and for some odd reason, the wings were usually just boggy mud. Always great fun.

Looking at the tables, the disparity of games played by each team is ridiculous. I know you can't account for the weather when doing fixtures but with they way it's set out I really can't see all of the postponed games being played before the end of the season.

Does anyone know if Sierra and centrals went ahead on the weekend?

Also, great to hear about the fundraising and everything else that is being organised for the aldinga noarlunga games this weekend. It's a great cause and good to see. For all the bitching we do on this it's refreshing 2 rival teams can come together on what hopefully will be a great day (with 2 hard fought draws!). If for any reason our game/games don't go ahead will definitely get down to support the cause and watch a game!

surely all posponed games must be played eventualy as promotion and relegation depend on this happening. asia should be dropped to div 5 in my opinion as div 4 is a 2 team league. dont know why on earth they were allowed to start in div 4 in the first place.

Round 14 (seeing as a few of you have been banging on about me getting to it :D )

Lakes v Croatia - Didnt get to see the improvement Croatia have made as the season has gone on due to a duck pond like home ground last week. Mawson Lakes put up a god showing against Athelstone last week only going down 2-0. I could only imagine what sort of a surface greeted them last week as Athelstone's pitch is notoriously bad after heavy rain. This is a real test for the Lakes. If they get something out of this game it will give them some confidence going into the last 8 weeks of the season. Croatia need the points to stay in touch with the pack and will probably get them this week. Croatia 3-1 for me

Aldinga v Noarlunga - The Inaugural Beyond Blue cup will be played for between the both teams this week. A great initiative by Kev, Darren and Hawkey and being well supported by Lingy and all at Noarlunga. Noarlunga have won 4 on the trot but their form appears patchy after the Farmers pushed them to a 6-4 scoreline. Aldinga have had the week off after last weeks postponement and are fresh coming into this crunch game. Ladder position is on the line and I expect a fiery southern derby albeit a fair derby. This is being played for a great cause and its something we're passionate about down south. Good luck to both teams this week. Ill continue to not predict the games I'm involved in. No prediction here!!

Asia v Sierra - Home ground advantage means sweet FA in this game. Sierra are a skillful side and held Centrals to a 2-2 draw last week. Thought Asia's form last week was ordinary to say the least. You don't contact an opposing team at 2pm and inform them you are'nt turning up. Teams like this should be kicked out of this league and made to play in div 5 or lower. Sierra to win and win well in a high scoring shootout 7-4

Centrals v Unley - Unley fresh off the bye and I hope its meant a bit of rejuvenation has happened because they have been awful since round 4. Centrals are ticking over nicely and are still in with a shout of promotion as are a number of teams. Cant see anything but a big win to centrals. That being said, how is cowandilla holding up? Centrals will score plenty and Unley will be lucky to get nil. 10-0

Seaford v Farmers - After the disappointment of not playing for 3 weeks, Seaford will be pumped for this game. They will be far too strong for a Farm team who are struggling to put two teams out lately. Farm gave a good account of themselves against what Lingy called 'Noarlungas worst performance of the season'. I hope for the Seaford lads sake that you field a reserves team this week as i know Noarlunga were a bit cheesed off when their game was canned. I cant see any way that Farm will get something out of this but stranger things have happened so I wont count it out 100%. That being said, this will be a big scoreline, Seaford 13 - 0 Farm

Good luck to all teams this week.

its a shame Hatchet wont predict the scoreline when Aldinga are involved??? I see no valid reason for this... barring fear of copping some flack if his team don't win. Very disappointing!

Ah I thinks it fair enough not to predict your own score when your playing in the game. Since he gracefully retired from the A's I'd like to see mystic hatchet could predict make a prediction! How's your boys gonna go today against noarlunga??

Seaford v Andrews Farm

Reserves 11 - 0

As 7 - 0

Huge thanks to farm for fronting up for 2 games even with some players playing both. Both games were tight early on but we pulled away well once the game got going. Mwahs have to be happy with 2 clean sheets and 2 good wins.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, would be good to see you see you get so good results starting next week! For what I hear, 2 good wins for dingy with some great funds raised by both clubs!

I second the statement from my fellow Seaford team mate. Last season many players played both games for us, especially the lad above, so it was good to see similar commitment from the Andrews Farm boys... Especially when you have to put up with 90 minutes ear-bashing from me!

I don't predict my own teams scores because I think that's the right thing to do diplomatically :)

Ressies
Aldinga 4 - 2 Noarlunga

First Team
Aldinga 6 - 0 Noarlunga

Both grades won comfortably to be honest. We have improved and our fitness is getting better with each training session and game. The only blight on our day was losing 2 players to injury again. Kent Harper had his left ankle poleaxed by a player and had to come off and Joshy had a nasty kick to the jaw and required to go to hospital. We raised a decent amount of money for Beyond Blue and many a frothy was had after the game. Thanks to Hewie for shaving his head in the club after and to Lingy and the boys from Noarlunga who contributed to the cause. It was a successful day for us but now we turn our attention to Andrews Farm.

Try putting up with him when he keeps on banging in hat-tricks. 3 in 3 games I think now and each time could of had another that's gone as an own goal (we won't bring up when that first happened)

You have been awarded the 5-1 win on the SAASL website and so have your reserves. I wonder how long it will take them to realise :D
