Hopefully normal service will be resumed next season when Liverpool return to the mediocrity we have got used to and we don't have to listen to their one eyed supporters droning on about how mighty they are with all their history and tradition.

I actually tend not to give small clubs much thought as most of them have enjoyed some season long short lived limelight. Take Blackburn for example, they did ok in the mid 90s although they may not be a good example as they did actually win a premier league.BTAC wrote:I'm glad you have hope.Old Redback wrote:Hopefully normal service will be resumed next season when Liverpool return to the mediocrity we have got used to and we don't have to listen to their one eyed supporters droning on about how mighty they are with all their history and tradition.

Re: Will Liverpool win this season's league title
Reality is, Liverpool have had an amazingly good season, surpassing all expectations and taking the title race down to the last day. Suarez has been exceptional, Sterling has come of age and they've had a relatively decent run with injuries.
The real test will be if they can back it up next season when they have to play midweek as well.

You're not, but most people seem to be under the impression we're not going to add to our squad. Rodgers has already said he wants 4 or 5 new players to improve our first XI. Our squad will be much stronger going into next season I think.Nice One Cyril wrote:Reality is, Liverpool have had an amazingly good season, surpassing all expectations and taking the title race down to the last day. So what just adding to the squad means your going to maintain your current placing & 'improve' again next year... ask the Spuds about that, signed 6-7 new players spent $110mil & look!!BTAC wrote: You're not, but most people seem to be under the impression we're not going to add to our squad. People are talking like we're a lock to slide down the table though because of extra games and other teams strengthening.
And we're not gonna strengthen?

I don't think the bindippers realise the effect that the loss of Suarez will have. It will be interesting to see how Sturridge gets on now he gets no space.Del Boca Vista wrote:another old man manc bumping a Liverpool thread

Re: Will Liverpool win this season's league title
I hear where you are coming from, flip side is though, it will be interesting to see how Studge goes as the focal point of the attack, guaranteed more chances to come his way. It's what he felt he deserved at Chelsea (and to a lesser extent City). He will have the reigns of the attack with some talented providers behind him (Gerrard, Sterling, Lallana). At his age, this could be his career defining year, for better or worse.Nice One Cyril wrote:I don't think the bindippers realise the effect that the loss of Suarez will have. Be nice to have a bit more balance in attack and keep some clean sheets.Nice One Cyril wrote:I don't think the bindippers realise the effect that the loss of Suarez will have.
