6-2 to Downs in the end. A couple of quick goals at the start if the 2nd killed the contest - fair play to Downs who went on with it from there.

Yep, good contest and the Wanderers lads very hospitable with the beers as usual. Good to see our team have come a long way from the hammerings Wanderers use to give us in Div. 1 a couple seasons ago, and could have been a more exciting finish if it wasn't for our missed penalty to make it 2-2 at the break.

Well officiated and the game was played in good spirits with the odd banter. Nice pitch to play on too. Stuck around for some of the A's match and looked like an open game from the get go, so not surprised by the amount of goals scored.

Good luck to Wanderers for the rest of the Cup and season, and likewise hope to see you lot in Div. 1 next year for a rematch.

Hopefully the Villa A's can get up tomorrow.

PHW hit woodwork 3 times.
Talking to one of the SM boys they have a few A players to chose from as they were either injured or u/a for the first round cup.
